Hi,
Arriving at Munich Terminal 2 this morning I was surprised to see the dedicated First Class Check In area reopened after a very long Covid break. Consequently check in and security control was friendly and brief in this dedicated calm area.


I had some small breakfast in Lufthansa Senator lounge near gate G24 which was still very empty this morning and provided a good start for the day.






On the way to my boarding gate a quick shot outside on the apron on this sunny August morning.

Prioirity boarding onto our Airbus 320 started soon and with a calm atmosphere as the flight was rather empty.

I was the first passenger on board and took my window seat 3A.


In the end the 5 rows of Business Class were onyl occupied by 4 passengers.


At the entrance door a disinfection towel was offered that now comes in some Lufthansa branding compared to the last months.

We pushed back on time and taxied away for a quick departure towards the west.


Our flight was announced to take 2 hours 10 minutes and we climbed to cruising altitude with some Alps views in the far.


Curtains to Economy Class were quickly closed and the cabin crew soon asked for some first drink choices. I ordered some water and tomato juice.


Moments later a printed breakfast menu was distributed and hot meal orders taken by the crew.


Unfortunately service felt very unstructured and rushed by the two cabin attendants taking care of only 4 Business Class passengers. Even though this flight would have plenty of time for a nice and friendly service they had the goal to get out all drinks and meals to the customer as quick as possible. Consequently I could not even take more than two sips before the meal trays were served out of the galley.

Only moments later I was asked for more drink wishes and ordered a cup of tea and some orange juice which was the nice freshly squeezed one on Lufthansa's morning departures.

The meal itself tasted nice and was really very filling with all the different courses, bread and pastry. While still eating the meal, some more nuts were served - a strange protocol of service but the nuts were still welcome for the later part of the flight.

Flight progresses very smoothly and trays were cleared aways once every guest was finished.


Cabin crew disappeared to the galley and did not come back to ask for more drink refills etc. After visiting the toilet I asked them in the galley to have some sparkling wine and more water please. They were happy to do so so and served the drinks (even two glasses at once) some minutes later. Actually every Business Class guest now received a glass of sparkling wine because the flight attendant had to open the big bottle anyway. A strange approach - maybe it would be better to go back to smaller size individual bottles again?

Views of the dry landscape outside confirmed we had reached the Iberian peninsula and soon we started our descend into Madrid.



Now some Lufthansa farewell chocolates were distributed by the cabin crew.


We touched down from the north and taxied a really long way to our gate at the older Terminal 1-3 section of Madrid Barajas Airport.


First we passed the Iberia Terminal 4 satellite.



Finally we docked at an airbridge next to some nice looking Air Europa 787 dreamliner.

Klasse Report wie immer! Schön zu sehen, dass der richtige F Check-In am MUC wieder offen hat, er gehört doch zu den netteren Amenities eines SEN bzw. SA Gold Statusses. In die SEN G24 Lounge am MUC sollte ich auch mal wieder zeitnah, denn dort wurde wie in der SEN A50 am FRA inzwischen ein Tasting Heimat Büffet mit den Speisen aus dem neuen Business Class Konzept aufgebaut. Gibt wohl Hamburger Krabbensalat und Münchner Wurstsalat, noch ohne Obazda, so zumindest bei mir als ich am Samstag am FRA war. Bei fünf Reihen C nach MAD nur vier Paxe ist in der Tat sehr wenig, MAD ist eigentlich eine der Destinationen, die in der C meist sehr gefragt sind. Das ist auch wohl oder übel der Grund, warum die beiden für die C zuständigen FBs nicht den Service überhasten sollten, das war eher suboptimal von ihnen gelöst. Das Hauptgericht sieht sehr ordentlich aus und ich denke bei 0225 flight timer darf man auch nicht meckern, solange es geschmacklich in Ordnung war. Die vielen Getränkerunden mit den Cashewnüssen (Bei mir gab es erst Mandeln), sind auch aufmerksam von der Crew. Summa sumarum hattest du einen ordentlichen Flug mit der LH, würde ich sagen.
Ich sollte echt mal meine Reports weiterschreiben, habe noch über zehn unvollständige xD
