I had a transfer time of ca. 1 hour at ZRH airport and wanted to visit the now only open Swiss lounge at A gates area. However it was impossible as maxium capacity was reached and there was a queue of ca. 40 people outside the lounge. This was really frustrating: Come on Swiss stop this cost cutting and reopen more lounges as you obviously have enough premoum passengers again to fill more than one lounge.
Consequently I just walked around the nice Airside center shopping zone and had some nice pictures on the waiting aircrafts on the apron.
Boarding started on time via buses from the lower and quite cramped floor of Terminal A section. All in all in general Zurich Airport was very busy this Friday afternoon and felt almost like before Covid times.
Some shots of the very nice looking new Embraer 190 E2 version as this flight would be operated by Helvetic Airways this afternoon as is the case very often for the Munich hop on this route.
Disifection wipes were offered at the entrance door. This was the first airline I saw that also offers a dedicated Covid protocol card in each seat pocket.
The cabin looked very nice and a water bottle and refreshing towel were already waiting on my seat.
Pitch was ok but worse than on swiss mainline planes. Also there was no curtain cabin divider to Economy Class but only a small sign on top of the last Business Class seat row leading to less privacy in this Business Class. At the end 7 Business Class guest were spread over 8 rows.
The seat also features very useful power ports.
Safety demonstration was conducted and we soon taxied away for our short 45 minutes hop to the Bavarian capital.
Some nice views climbing out of Zurich above Lake Zurich heading along the Alps.
Cabin crew very quickly sprang into action and rolled down the service trolles offering small snack trays and drinks. I had a glass of champagne and some coke.
The small sandwiches were ok, however a little bit on the dry side while the coffee flaovoured dessert tasted excellent.
Some nice landscape views before we already were descending into Munich Airport again.
Swiss chocolate was of course offered as well as on each Swiss flight.
We touched down ahead of schedule and parked at a finger gate at Terminal 2 next to Lufthansa Airbus.

A nice short hop with a friendly cabin crew and a totally adequate small snack for this short flight time. Only the lounge situation of Swiss at Zurich was a huge disappointment and has to be improved as soon as possible.
