another trip between saint emilion and cote rotie!
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in the past year, up to a weekly basis at some point. This was the first time I experienced a "regular" flying experience, where even some crew member might recognise and greet me!
I know this is just a small domestic flight, and it is hard to make it interesting but I'll try my best!
Flight routing
- 1
- 2AIr France HOP BOD - LYS
Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 318
Status earned: 2 XP
Air France doubling the XP status in 2020: 2 additional XP

Thizs time around, I am going to show you the bar of the hotel I have been staying on weekly basis; that I can only recommend to you: the Quality in Rue du parlement sainte catherine.. Why these two drinks? Because the staff always use to give us these drinks for free as a "see you next week!"
As you might notice, there is one Armagnac and one cognac, I let you guess which one is which!

As all of the Air France Hop flights; you can't choose your seat at booking, regardless of your Skyteam membership status. I am still not sure why the E190/170 and CRJ700/1000 fleet is the exception…
However you can during check-in, which I did, based on the cabin map provided:

AT BORDEAUX - MERIGNAC AIRPORT
Going through security at BOD at terminal B is always super fast, it is a narrow corridor just behind the AF checkin counters; and on the boarding zone there are just a few shops and a large waiting area.

onboard the e190
Aircraft: Embraer E190STD
Registration: F-HBLF
Engines: 2x CFM34
Age: 13 Years
Layout: Y100
Observation: With the new Air France Hop livery
We were called to board on time; with the Skypriority respected, premium passengers were called first.
The famous safety card…

The crew was really professional and gave us a warm welcome, followed by the usual announce by the captain thanking us for flying wtih Air France; which is always a nice thought.
The seats are somehow a bit less comfortable than those found onboard the CRJs, but more than KLM city hopper Ejet fleet and the ironing board of domestic subfleet A318/319/320/321 of Air France…

Service was complimentary as it is the rule on AF, but drastically reduced to a hot or cold drink: tea/coffee or juices.

and the approach started very shortly after… At least no more clouds over Lyon..

Since the first lock down, Air France stopped printing its magazine, and so it is digitally that you can discover it; it is available on the Air France play app.

I really like that Air France started again this tradition to name their plane after french cities..

And of course as usual the airline details page

AT LYON - SAINT EXUPERY AIRPORT
A quick view on the business cabin… the only noticeable difference is the head rest in bright red..

We landed and parked at the U gates;U is for domestic and S international.
Even though this isn't the most original new livery as it strangely looks like the old old Air France by Regional livery, I like the fleet livery standardisation, AF really needed it.

And this beautiful station, that Chevelan really likes too ;-)
