from rhone to gironde
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in 2020 and 2021, up to a weekly basis at some point. This was the first time in my life I experienced a "regular" flying experience, where even some crew member might recognise and greet me!
Even thought I was taking risks as it was in the middle of the pandemic, I was super happy to fly.
Flight routing
- 1Air France Hop LYS - BOD
- 2
- 3Air France CDG - LYS
Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 627
Status earned: 2 XP
Air France doubling the XP status in 2020: 2 additional XPs
I am not going to present Air France app, but still here is a screenshot of the boarding pass; it took Air France a few years to actually have a stable and robust app, and now it is quite user friendly.

The plane has the standard 100 seats in a 2-2 config (I counted them yes!)

AT LYON - SAINT EXUPERY AIRPORT
Arriving by taxi at the airport. I realised I never took in picture the famous round about.

Once airside, I naturally went to this Air France Hop pier…

I have often took this picture, I really this angle of this sausage in front of the tower!

A kind of busy Hop pier for an in between lockdowns time!

And for once some ATR back in there, since Hop gave up the type, there is just Air Corsica operating the type here.

onboard the e190
Aircraft: Embraer E190STD
Registration: F-HBLH
Engines: 2x CFM34
Age: 13 Years
Layout: Y100
Observation: With the Hop livery

The priorities were respected for boarding.
I apologise I missed some pictures at take off, but fear not I have a wonderful picture of the service!! As it was in the middle in the pandemics, the complimentary service was limited to a soft drink..

During the cruise, the guys near me wanted to join as they were not seating next to each other. Now here I am on the F side.

Since the first lock down, Air France stopped printing its magazine, and so it is digitally that you can discover it; it is available on the Air France play app.

AT BORDEAUX MERIGNAC AIRPORT
Here I arrived in front of the famous vineyard of Bordeaux airport BOD.

My little touristic bonus

A quick bonus, Air France has a "what kind of traveller are you" that lists out the flights in the last 10 years that you went on..

Hey Chris, thanks for sharing
