British Airways has a well designed and user- friendly app, where you can check the status of your flight; choose seats and of course check in online and get your boarding pass
BA chose to fit in 180 seats, which is the most you can on an A320.
AT LYON SAINT EXUPERY AIRPORT
We arrived at the new T1 terminal, checking in on the BA counters.
It took an awful long time to pass through security in this Christmas period, so a good thing we were ahead… Once this passed, we arrived at the Hall of Lumieres, funnily enough next to the bureau de change where one of our friends works at.
onboard the a320
Once boarding started, priorities were called and I was the only one having a superior status, I managed to ask the lady at the desk if they could all follow me to have them a "treat" as almot all of them don't regularly fly…
You could see all of us here, I am on the C seat with the beige jumper..
Aircraft: Airbus A320-232 Registration: G-EUYV Engines: 2x IAE 2527 Age: 7 Years Layout: Y180 Observation: one of the very few A320 in BA's fleet equipped with winglets but not a NEO.
The crew gave us a warm greeting, seeing us as a group they asked us where we inteded to go out, where were staying and the rest of it..
The cabin is equipped with WiFi and USB plugs but the pitch is way narrower…
Luckily it wasn't these awful seats you can find on the A320neo, I much prefer the previous generation where the seat is thicker and there is a headrest..
The service of BoB started very promptly after, and to the huge despair of my friends, who were expecting complimentary scones and tea!
The sunset…
The High life and shop magazines
The beautiful approach on runway 27R with this superb view of London Eye, Saint Paul Cathedral, The city
and the identical semi-detached houses, a genuine British thing…
and landing!

After landing we started taxiing… Hello sunset and T5!

And we arrived at T3.

Conclusion
BA: Brand new plane, it is always appreciated. However the cabin has been densified- 180 seats the max on an A320... There is no screens above in the cabin.. The seats are ok for ironing a shirt but not sure for a back of a human being for too long... For me a legacy that adopt the BOB will have less than 5 so there you go BA. The crew was really professional, and it is the strengh of BA: you know what to expect and BA delivers it. No surprises and this is what you want for your "home" flight.
LHR: Very clean, very big and bright, a lot of options but too big actually XD Can't wait for the crossrail..
LYS: As efficient as always!
