Hi everybody,
My journey started in the ground floor of Terminal 2 where Aegean has its dedicated check in area in rather cramped, dark corner. There was a huge queue at the Economy Class counters where waiting time for sure needed 45 minutes.

Luckily the priority lane was not crowded and there were only 2 other parties in front of me.

Security was rather quick as well and soon I headed to Lufthansa Senator Lounge at gate G24 to get some breakfast.

The lounge was already rather busy but still it was easy to find a good table and catch some bites which tasted ok. However in my opinion it is really time that Lufthansa brings back more choices and self service buffets to their Munich lounges. The staffed service from the bar takes quite long and is slow.

The Aegean A321 in old livery that would bring me to Athens today.

Boarding for Business Class guests was last due to Covid protocols. A friendly flight attendant handed out disifection towels at the entrance and I took my window seat 2A.

There were 3 rows of Business Class today and only 3 guests seated there including me. The cabin was roomy and in general comfortable. I liked the dividing table on the center seat which is rare those days in Europe. However in all the cabin started to show some signs of age, e.g. on the carpet.

The window was quite dirty but let's have a look outside.

Seat pitch was really excellent.

The seat pockets also featured an inflight magazine and even inflight shopping - a very rare feature during those Covid days but still some welcome aspects.

Once boarding was completed another flight attendant handed out a nice menu card including beverages list.

We were welcomed abord for a flight time of 2 hours 15 minutes and a nice and funny Greek inspired safety video was played on the overhead screens - a feature I always prefer to manual demonstrations.
We pushed back and taxiied to the runway passing a Cargo 747.

Soon we were airborne and banked away direction Alps.

Wheather was nice outside and we climbed to our cruising altitude. Soon the curtains to Economy Class were closed and our cabin felt very quiet and private.

Soon the flight attendant handed out small table clothes and asked for our first drink choices follwoed by the main dish order.

I had some water and white wine.

The meal with covers:

And another time without covers:

Some warm bread selection wrapped in plastic was offered from a basket afterwards.

All in all the meal tasted very nice and had a very good sense of Greek cuisine taste - a perfect start for a holiday in Greece!
The cutlery however was a little bit on the cheap side in my opinion and could get an improvement in design and haptics.

Drink refills were frequently offered by the very friendly female flight attendants looking after Business Class and my glass was never empty until descending into Athens - great service.

I had a nice Aegean feature for dessert - a nice cup of Espresso. Very rare on flights within Europe indeed.

A nice Greek liquor was also served to me.

A while later I ordered a great cup of Verbena tea that was nicely served with some fine chocolates.

Let's have a detailed look at the sweet delight ;)

Soon we started our descend into Athens getting some nice coastal views.

We passed the mega city of Athens, banked over the sea again before finall landing from the East.

Taxiing was quick and we soon docked at a gate position next to some heavy metal from overseas.

One final glimpse on my Airbus 321 that brought me to Athens.
