Hi,

Being on transit from Munich I quickly visited the Aegean Business Lounge.

The lounge was already rather full but still I found a spare table in the dining area next to the window.

The lounge offers quite a nice and huge selection of food and drinks - however due to covid all still in single use plastic and cups which feels rather cheap.

Hot drinks have to be ordered here from staff.

My small afternoon selection:

Boarding started on the ground floor in a rather chaotic way onto a bus.

After a while we reached the remote apron and climbed up the stairs to our splendid looking Airbus 320 in the new Aegean livery.

A friendly flight attendant distributed disinfection towels at the entrance.

My window seat in row 2 provided great pitch and was comfortable. In total 7 passengers were seated in 4 rows of Business Class on this flight.

We pushed back with a slight delay.

On the way to the runway we passed a deserted old Olympic 737-200 that reminded me of my first flight to Athens that I took on such a plane in the early 2000s when Olympic Airways still used that old model on the Munich-Athens flights.

We reached the runway and were ready to depart.

photo img_6732photo img_6733

We climbed away direction sea for this short 35 minutes hop to the island of Kos.

Some great outside views followed along the way.

Very quickly the flight attendant distributed small paper table clothes and served a small snack tray. This snack tasted nice and was perfectly adequate for such a short flight.

Drink orders were taken as well and I had some Coke Zero and water.

We crossed more Aegean islands and soon started our scenic approach.

Crossing the island of Kos.

Then banking over the sea in the late afternoon sun.

And finally on final approach over some resorts before touching down.

We quickly parked on the small apron and disembarked via stairs walking directly to the terminal building where baggage was available already minutes later - a perfect start for a great holiday on this nice island.

Next to us an Austrian Airbus just brought in some more sun seekers from Vienna.

Hi Alex, thanks for this report! Love seeing reports to Greece as I haven't been able to go for over 2 years. Nice to see some A3 non-NEO birds getting the new colours! Would also be nice if they got the new interiors.

As always Aegean do a great job with catering. Lovely fresh snack for less than half an hour in the air!

    Hallo Alex,
