Hi,
It was still dark outside when I arrived outside Vienna Airport Terminal building early in the morning.

There is a nicely decorated dedicated check in area for Austrian's premium passengers which also leads to a dedicated security control fast lane. This really helped a lot as security check only took me ca. 5 minutes while there were massive queues in the regular zone event that early in the morning.

Quickly I headed to the Austrian Airlines Lounge in the Schengen pier F zone of Vienna.

I was greeted friendly and took a nice quiet seat in one of the corners of the lounge. The design was very nice, fresh and modern and it was still quiet and empty when I arrived at my table. However the lounge quickly started to fill up and was already rather crowded ca. 20 minutes later.

It is great to see that the full self-service pre-covid buffet is back here in the Austrian Lounge. A huge offer of hot & cold drinks is available for self-service.

The same applies to the cold & hot food selection.

I especially liked this cute looking fresh fruit corner.

I started first with some tasty hot egg dish.

Followed later by some nice muesli.

Ending my breakfast with a nice cup of creamy Melange coffee of the famous Austrian company Julius Meinl.

I reached my boarding gate ca. 5 minutes before priority boarding started and soon I was on the airbridge connected to our Airbus 320.
A very friendly cabin crew member welcomed me at the entrance and handed over some small disinfection towels.

My window seat in row 4 was nice and clean and provided a good pitch.

It was still rather dark outside when I took my seat while boarding continued with some nice Walzer music playing in the cabin. I always prefer boarding with some music background compared to complete silence on board - it helps for a more relaxed atmosphere on board.

In the end the plane was almost full with 10 rows of Business Class.

Outside it started to get brighter and a flight time of 40 minutes was announced for this short morning service to the Bavarian capital of Munich.

A pre-recorded manual safety announcement followed while we pushed back and taxied away in some great sunrise morning atmosphere.

Soon we reached the runway and powered into some cloudy skies banking away.

It is always great on morning flights when you leave the cloudy layers and see some great sunrise colors outside.

Quickly the extremely friendly ladies serving Business Class this morning rolled down the trolley serving a small but tasty breakfast consisting of sandwiches and strawberry yoghurt. Great to see proper cloth napkins even on such a short hop.

No drinks trolley followed however next the cabin crew passed around with coffee and tea serving those hot drinks quickly into the small nice cups placed on the trays. A good protocol of service as most guests on such an early & short morning flight prefer to have a hot drink with their breakfast as quick as possible.

Next they passed around with another tray offering glasses of pre-poured orange juice and water. I decided for some orange juice. Most passenger were totally fine with a hot drink and orange juice for such a short hope (including me) but you could additionally also order any other drink from teh crew which was quickly served to you directly from the galley.

The flight continued quickly and the friendly cabin crew passed around several times offering hot & cold drink refills. I ordered an additional glas of water while my tray was already cleared away. At this moment also a nice and tasty farewell chocolate was served from a basket.

We descended into a very foggy Munich area and soon touched down perfectly on time.

Passing a Lufthansa A320 and parking at a gate position next to another Lufthansa A321.

One final look onto the Austrian Airbus that brought me in this morning.

Walking to the exit I passed a perfectly looking Singapore Airlines A350 waiting for a longhaul flight to Singapore. Hopefully I can be on one of those longhaul widebodies sooner than later again!

Wow, 10 rows of J! I guess it makes sense on a *A/LHG hub-to-hub route and big business destination. Nice to see fresh food and multiple drinks offered on a 40 minute flight!
Thanks for sharing!
