Our taxi dropped us off in front of the terminal:

The LH counters are almost empty while the AF counters aren't:

The FIDS:

Priority Access:

A last look at the landside part of the terminal:

And I made my way through the fast track:

Super fast and efficient. Nothing more to say about.
After it there are duty free shops:

Heading to the lounge:

The flight to MUC:

VIP Lounge
The lounge entrance:

After a nice welcome, here we are inside:

The lounge is pretty full:

Dreamliner UX:

Our Airbus arrives:

There is no self service, only the hot drinks are available freely.

The buffet:

Some packaged sandwiches and dairy products are available also.

The BA A380:

the flight
Shortly before boarding, it's time to meet my neo but before another UX Dreamliner:

Boarding this way:

And it started more or less on time:

Instant porte, in French :)

I like this pannel where the crew can draw a message for the passengers, sadly this message was from the day before and on my last flight I haven't seen it that much used.

We were warmly welcomed and I was pleased to see that this neo was equipped with the very latest LH seats that not only look much better than the NEK but is also far more comfortable:

The recline:

Also far better from the NEK:

Safety card:

Vade retro :)

The pitch is almost the same as with the old seats:

Air France A321:

If I had to choose, I would rather fly on a cargo flight with Prime Air than with Ryanair :)

Another very very long taxi …

Again, the BA A380:

And another Dreamliner UX:

Terminal 4:

Line up and take off:

Climbing:

USB plugs:

But no WiFi :(

The middle tray:

I had an orange juice and water to start with:

Then comes the menu:

I took the vegetarian option -must say that I had no other choice anyway they ran out of meat after two rows-. But not a big deal since I barely eat pork

And without the lids:

The starter and the entree:

The entree was a delight, so was the dessert. But the beef cheek terrine was … not to my taste, that's the least I can say. :)

Fresh Apples were offered after the coffee service, this time I declined. The flight was really smooth:

I felt asleep and woke up just on time for landing:

Very nice weather indeed :)

Nice to see a report on the new LH cabins!
That's great to hear. Visually, they seem more comfortable and better padded--while at the same time being thinner with more room, which is interesting. Just a better design than the old NEK seats
Though I fly through MAD regularly, I'm only ever at T4/T4S, nice to see a report on another terminal...not nearly as pretty as T4, but the aena lounge looks to have awesome views! And the lighting in MAD is always nice when it's sunny...which is most of the time.
A vegetarian option with beef? Am I misunderstanding something, because that's meat lol
Thanks for sharing!
