Checking in

Flying out of Tweed is always a breeze. The current check-in area is located in a modular facility just outside the airport. I ended up checking my bags which took a total of 3 mins
Clearing security

There was no TSA precheck but that wasn't a problem as I cleared security in 3 minutes!
Exploring the airport

Not much post-security besides a small pop-up coffee shop. Nearly all the seats were taken by the time it was ready to depart. The expansion can't come soon enough!

Getting ready to board

While there is one jetbridge at HVN, Avelo opted to use stairs for boarding

Up close and personal with this ex-Southwest 737!

First glimpse inside! Seats look well padded and flight crew appears friendly

There isn't any IFE or Wifi on this flight but thats okay. Its short enough at just under 3 hours!

Legroom was decent and seats are indeed comfy. Much better than the skeletal seats on Frontier or Spirit :)

View outside the wing just before departure

Snacks service: a sugar cookie and water bottle. The cookie was extremely moist and quite delicious. Wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.
Hi, welcome to Flight-Report and thank you for your first review.
Tweed New Haven is an adorable airport compared to JFK or EWR ^^.
Lovely new airline with a decent free snack on board.
Hi TooSoun, thanks for sharing your first review here with us and welcome to Flight-Report! Nice to see a report on Avelo--though there aren't many out there, all reviews I've seen so far seem pretty positive so far. It's funny seeing a SWA cabin (though with a bit less legroom) on another airline. Too bad they don't have any streaming IFE like SWA had, but hopefully that will come in the future.
Great that Avelo offer free snacks and drinks, would be nice to see them introduce some most substantial food for purchase, at least on longer routes.
Thanks for sharing!
