Hi,
When I arrived at Munich Airport this morning, the terminal was not very busy and so I was quickly checked in by a very friendly lady in the Lufthansa First Class Check In area.

I decided to give the small Senator Café a try as I only had ca. 20 minutes left for the lounge. The lounge is very small but has a nice and quiet atmosphere.

It offers a small self service buffet and drinks and more snacks from service staff at the bar.

I had a tasty and small breakfast. The only disadvantage of this lounge is that there are no toilets within the lounge - instead you have to leave the lounge and use one of the public toilets nearby.

Some views of the apron action this morning.

Boarding started on time via bus and soon we arrived in front of a splendid and modern looking A321neo.

The Business Class cabin was huge and spread over 11 rows fully occupied. Here is a quick shot of my window seat.

Seat pitch is fine - although the tray table is very small. Surprisingly no power outlets were installed on this new aircraft.

Once boarding was completed the very friendly male cabin crew distributed welcome bottles of water. Disinfection towels had been provided at the entrance.

Soon we started taxiing and a flight time of long 4 hours 50 minutes was announced. We had to conduct some deicing first:

Almost on time we left Munich direction West and soon turned to the South.

The Alps came in sight soon on this great sunny morning.

We reached Innsbruck area after ca. 20 minutes.

Now menu cards were distributed.

The flight progressed over the Alps while I enjoyed the great scenery.

Soon the trolley rolled down from the front of the cabin and breakfast trays were distributed where I decided for the egg dish as main course. Warm breads and muffins were offered from a basket as well.

The meal tasted really nice - especiall the warm dish with egss and sweet potato was excellent.
Drinks were offered directly from the galley. The freshly squeezed orange juice on Lufthansa morning flights always tastes great.

Later during the flight more drink refills were offered and I had a glass of wine.

We reached the Mediterranean Sea near Geneva and then followed along the Spanish coast.

After some hours we left Portugal and headed to the Atlantic Ocean.

At this time an apple and chocolate was distributed and I asked for some more drinks which were promptly served by the very friendly crew.

We reached Gran Canaria and started the descend into Tenerife South.

After some nice banking over the sea we started final approach and landed on time.

Taxiing along some holiday aircrafts before parking at the airbridge.

One final view of the A321neo.

Thanks for sharing! The Senator Café looks cozy and it helps it wasn't crowded--the food offering looks decent there, though it is a shame there are no toilets in the lounge. I guess the whole cafe concept is meant to be a quick hop in and out but still would be nice
How odd that there were no USB ports on your flight. I believe A321neos all have USB in every row normally.
The catering looks quite good and well-adapted for the 4.5 hour flight, but as I've said before it's a shame not to have any sort of entertainment options on such a long flight, like at least streaming to phone/tablet.
It's also nice to have had a NEO with the newer more comfortable seats.
Thanks for sharing!
