- 2LH1138 - Economy - Frankfurt-Barcelona - Airbus A320Neo
Hello and welcome to a new Flight report. This is the continuation of my previous FR Bogotá-Frankfurt. As a result of my cancelled flight to Barcelona, which was supposed to depart at 17:40pm, I had a 7 hours layover. During september LH was operating only one morning flight to Barcelona and another at the evening.
So I spended the afternoon in Frankfurt Airport, walking around. Luckily I slept quite many hours on my previous flight, so I was not that tired.
I decided to walk a little bit around the Terminal. I spotted the LATAM triple seven arriving from Sao Paulo. This might be the last flight of the day arriving from South America.

This A340 was heading to Tokyo.

This part of the terminal wasn't very crowded at that time.

Departures for today's afternoon and evening.

I made it into the gate. Our flight arrived. It was an A320Neo

Getting darker and our Airbus was being prepared.

Soon it was time for boarding. I was quite happy after 6 hours in Frankfurt with not many things to do. During september there were still quite a few places closed, despite the normalisation of the traffic.
Anyway, full flight tonight. I saw some passengers which were also coming from Colombia.

On board.

The cabin crew welcomed us on board and gave some hand towels. The captain informed us about the flight and we pushed back on time.

Very nice views of the international Terminal.

Taxiing to the Runway

"Cabin crew prepared for take off"

Bye bye Frankfurt! We took off heading directly to the south. It was a very nice afternoon without clouds. Sorry about the quality of the pictures.

Once we arrived at our cruising altitude, the crew started with the service. Again, a bottle of water and a chocolate. I didn't use the BOB menu as I ate a sandwich at the airport hours before.

The rest of the flight was very uneventful and fully dark outside, so not much to see. I felt asleep for the rest of the flight and I woke up already descending towards Barcelona, LEBL. It was quite cloudy down there.

We landed from the sea, so during the approach we overflew Barcelona before landing. The approach takes quite long, but views were very nice. But before we flew over Sabadell, where we made a left turn heading to the sea.

Views from El Prat, Castelldefels, Viladecans and Sant Boi, a few cities in the suburbs of Barcelona

And there's the airport.

After that we reached the sea and after five minutes over the water we made a 180 degrees turn and came back to the runway. We landed after nearly two hours in the air. Barcelona recieved us with a rainy night.

Taxiing to Terminal 1, where Lufthansa is operating

And parked! Finally, after many hours flying.

We disembarked row by row and headed to the Baggage reclaim. Before that, and for my surprise, during the first days of September 2021, Colombia was still a red country for COVID, so when I showed the spanish formulary and they realized I was coming from Bogotá, they pulled me out of the queque and I was tested again in a separate area. It didn't take very long but it's always disgusting to recieve a test and seemed that some of the passengers who were also arriving from Colombia, complained very hard.
After another negative result I picked my bag and I took a bus to my house, where I'll be passing a few months before going back to Colombia next may/june.
Thank you very much for reading!
