I am definitely not a fan of FRA, long corridor, low ceiling, at least it’s clean
Most of the European flights are leaving from gates A, which is the case for my flight with A17 assigned.
The famous coffee/tea machines are LH signature at their hub, this is a great idea but most of them were unserviceable with no cup nor tea bag.

Our flight is now ready for boarding, with roughly 70% LF
AND IT TURNED OUT THAT LH DID AN AIRCRAFT CHANGE!!! I ended up with one of their oldest A320-200, registered D-AIQA, msn 172, first flight in 1991…
FAIL!
I was really pissed at that time, I know aircraft type are not guaranteed, and especially aircraft subtype with the same cabin configuration but still I was expecting to have a fancy new aircraft with this distinguishable sharklets! Well I guess I will have to wait, it will arrive sooner or later anyway.
Then it’s a pretty uneventful flight with quiet business friendly pax,
Service is quite good with this generously filled sandwich and the famous whole sized Warsteiner beer!
Cabin lights are dimmed for the landing
And we are docked at Terminal 1

Argh, darn last minute equipment swaps. At least you got a pic of an A320 with sharklets. Beautiful planespotting
It's definitely a 'fail' to get the oldest 320 instead of the newest! Sorry you'll have to wait a few month now to fly a sharklet bird (unless you decide to make another european tour like this one or the previous one;) )
At leat you caught the 788 which was the primary target.

Beautiful spotting. I had the reverse happen to me in October, I ended up flying on a Fly Niki sharklet A320 when it was supposed to be a regular A320, it was everything I thought it could be :-D
