Hi,
Check In was quick and without any issues at the dedicated priority check in lane.

However security control in Munich Terminal 1 took extremely long (ca. 40 minutes) - even in the priority lane as there is only one that is also shared with families and wheelchair passengers. So there is no benefit at all in regards to security check flying Business Class here.
The 'Airport Lounge World' run by Munich Airport that Turkish Airlines uses here, however was a very nice experience. The lounge is huge and spread over two floors with loads of glass fronts and a lot of day light and cozy areas.

Food & drink offering also is nice and good to spend some time here.

The main buffet:

Some views of my breakfast.

It was rainy outside when I walked to my gate.

Boarding unfortuantely was extremely chaotic in a small cramped area without any priority advantage usable.
Luckily a longhaul widebody A330 was waiting for me.

Rather friendly crew welcomed me onboard and I was impressed by the cozy Business Class cabin with loads of legroom.

Soon a non-alcoholic welcome drink selection was offered and I had some tasty raspberry drink which was nicely presented.

Menus were distributed as as well.

Same for headphones.

As we had ca. an hour delay flight attendant came by and asked for more drink choices - she was even happy to serve a glass of champagne on the ground while we waited.

Drink orders for after departure where also taken still on the ground.
Finally we pushed back and started our journey.

Climbing out of rainy Munich.

We passed layers of clouds and started our cruise.

I explored the seat which looks for sure a bit worn but was very comfortable for such a short flight of 2 hours 20 minutes. Some views of the seat and its area.

I also visited the toilet which was very clean and even provided some nice Molton Brown products.

Service started with a nicely scented hot towel.

Next the starter tray way served - it was very nicely presented and all tasted great.

Warm bread choices were offered from a basket and the ordered drinks were served.

A while later a trolley rolled down the aisle on which main courses were presented. Dirty dishes were cleaned and I selected my main course - a tasty traditional Turkish egg dish.

Cabin crew acted in general rather reserved and did not proactively pass cabin to ask for more drinks etc. However they were always willing to bring more on request.
I finished my meal with a cup of coffee and relaxed in the comfortable seat.

Service ended with another hot towel.

We descended into Istanbul with nice views of the surroundings.

Finally we landed at the new mega airport IST and taxiied for ca. 15 minutes to finally receive the final parking position.

Thanks for reading,
FlyAlex
Hi FlyAlex, nice report as always,
This is about as good as it gets on intra-European flights!
Also, the lounge in Munich looks very impressive. Huge, with lots of natural light and decent food. I've added Airport Lounge World to the database for you so you can rate it, if you wish.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Alex, thank you for sharing this great series on both infra-European and domestic TK products in both cabins. I think your experiences are pretty consistent, the soft product is very hit or miss, but the catering and hard product are about the best you can get in Europe and have returned to pre-COVID standards. Even though the narrow bodies are used on a bulk of routes, their dedicated cabins with true J seats is a big plus. Thanks again for sharing this trip!
