Well I won't tell you where we are going to!

I checked in online with the application, Air France and KLM do offer a user friendly one, although not as comprehensive as I could have experienced with the Delta App.

À PARIS - AÉROPORT CHARLES DE GAULLE
ADP did some work to improve the signs at the airport, it is now impossible to get lost.
On a sidenote: why terminal E has three sub concourses? why not calling them directly terminal 2K, 2L and 2M?

The bus to 2G is remarkably better indicated, and a transfer later we are already at 2G.

Strangely enough Lyon has more HOP traffic in terms of regional flights than the 2G terminal at the same time of the day.

AT THE AIR FRANCE 2G LOUNGE
Do we need signposting? It is here!

The employee welcomes us, shows us the way to the boarding gate and tells us that we have about 20 minutes in the lounge, enough to have a little drink - I'm counting on it!
The lounge features the same pieces of furniture and decoration as the lounges in 2F and 2L, with the enormous PRO of having a view of the terminal.

The solid and liquid offering is similar to the other AF lounges in CDG and the opposite would not be very logical, even if here it is more about snacking than strictly speaking catering.

At the time Air France changed his onboard magazine for a now EnVol paper also sold in corner shops for 8€.

Toiles and showers are spacious.

small slice of quiche accompanied by Pouilly Fuissé and sparkling water to help digestion (my magic kombo, which I discovered after many years of being an alcoolic!).

An unusual A220 here.

As our plane is at the other very end of the terminal we leave on time, it would be silly to miss our connecting flight for what awaits for us!

We ask the station manager where the luggage is and he looks at his tablet and tells me that they are still being processed. damn.. He adds that we haven't left yet and that they still have some time to arrive.

A nice fuselage shot at this golden hour

The welcome is courteous by the flight leader, who never fails to smile but looks a little tired.

the luggage drama!
Our commander speaks, announces pleasant flight conditions and so on.
At the same time we refresh the tracking status of the baggage every minute on our KLM app like crazy, and the status doesn't seem to change much.
A few minutes later our captain told us that everyone is on board and that we will be able to leave our parking stand earlier.
At the same time we see a small tractor arriving through our left window (which overlooks terminal 2E/M) with a luggage rack including 4 suitcases including ours (which we easily recognize)…
We are relieved to see our suitcase and to think that the vacation will begin peacefully…
My partner leans into the right row and sees the cargo doors closed…
And our little tractor which goes around the plane and
leaves…!
So frustrating!
On our way to the 26R runway.

We pass by this other Skyteam member that I haven't managed to fly with yet.

Take off with this beautiful golden sky but without our beautiful suitcases onboard!!

The other Iron Lady..

The snack service then begins above my dear Burgundy.
The usual and complimentary service onboard European flights with Hop

I love when I can manage to get the beacon light on my picture!

During the descent the flight leader goes into the cabin to check that everyone has fastened their seat belts, then he stops next to us and asks if we know Turin, very randomly, we tell him that we don't know the city yet!

AT TURIN - CASELLE AIRPORT
The landing is very smooth and we arrive at a gate equipped with a jetway that is not going to be used.
We know our luggage wouldn't be there, so head directly to the lost luggage office.

We arrive in the baggage hall, I check the KLM application which confirms that our luggages are still at CDG.
I make the effort to try out my rusty Italian with the lady at the counter.
She is already aware that 2 bags are missing.
She is charmingand professionnal. We are spending a good 30min to work out the best strategy for our suitcases to follow us to our final destination, she tells me that she will still ask Paris to send them tomorrow morning to the next flight but that most of the time Paris ignores the messages from smaller airports (surprisingly!). As we speak, she receives a notification saying that the luggage will be there tomorrow with the first flight.
Just before leaving us she sends us an Air France labeled basci kit including
-an XXL t-shirt (well yes everyone should be able to put it on I imagine, I didn't take it personally!)
-a makeup removal kit (I also don't take it personnally!)
-a deodorant
-comb
-Shaver
-cotton swab and moisturizing creams.

Le statut Flight Radar du Vol

Hi ChrisB and thanks for that second part of your honeymoon travel !
I'm actually reading some english reports 😉. I confirm that I read that report in french too. However, it is quite impossible to remember of everything, like that so beautiful approach in Turin.
I remember that there were some luggages issues but not how it will end...
Have a (nowadays virtual 😆) nice stay in Turin !
Hi Yann and thanks for the comment!
yes there are so many ahah
Id' like to go back there actually it was a pleasant town to discover
Haha...living in the US, especially in Post-Covid times, I always think of "Centers for Disease Control" when I see CDC 😂
I know you meant "Chef De Cabine" of course, but it just made me LOL a little.
Damn, getting your bags lost on a positioning flight when you only have 1 night is stressful! I give AF credit for the kit and keeping you so well informed, but still, that sucks!
Haha yeah...makes a nice souvenir night shirt I guess LOL
Thanks for sharing!
hey Kevin, thanks for your comment mate!
Perhaps I translated a little too fast.. or perhaps I meant CharleneDelClock, her drag kween scene name!
yes at least I didn't feel like being left on the pavement..
