Hi everyone, last week I had the pleasure of accomplishing my dream of flying the world's biggest passenger aircraft: the A380. Fun fact: ICN to TPE is the shortest A380 route in 2023. Let's dive into what was served in this 2.5-hour flight!

This was the ride of the day, HL7614, built in September 2011. I could not wait to board my first ever A380, after fifteen years of waiting!

I wish ICN airport can wipe their windows from time to time…

Time to board! I really like the use of natural lighting in the terminal. It made me feel relaxing.

My seat today. The seat pitch was not bad at all, a lot better than their 787 (I'm 169 cm).

The AVOD had lots of k-dramas and k-movies in it, and I think that's a great way to promote their unique culture

This is the best feature in KE's AVOD system, the outside camera. It was amazing to see the plane is "actually flying"!

TIme for meal service. Due to the short flying time, only coke, water, coffee, juices and tea are offered. By the way, the cups provided for drink services were so tiny.

Meal service! One one choice: beef with noodles. The noodles actually amazed me. It was not dry at all and the the beef gravy flow with the noodles really well. The veggies were tasty as well. An shout out to that piece of pineapple. That is the best pineapple I have ever had in my life!

Conclusion

Overall, flying on the A380 is like a dream come true. However, Korean Air's crew are very professional yet they are very grim. If it is not for A380, I don't think I will fly with KE again the in the near future.

    Great to be able to fly an A380 on a 2.5h flight! Nice meal for such a short flight too. Too bad to read about the cabin crew--they usually have a good reputation at Korean, what was it that merited such a low rating of 1/10? I didn't see anything in the report about it except that you said they are "very professional but very grim"--unless they were outright rude...which would then not be "professional" I suppose I don't really understand such a low grade with that description.
