Today I will visit the French capital on what was going to be a family trip; but due to unfortunate circumstances it will only be my brother and I.
We will fly with Vueling, which from my previous experiences is among the best low cost experiences in Europe. It even has the privilege of the newer Terminal T1 in BCN, even if many flights do not board through jetbridges. Though this is no issue for me, as I love walking near the planes.

Due to the aforementioned circumstances, our checked bags are booked to the name of a person that is not traveling. The check-in agent, however, makes no issue and takes the baggage and prints our tickets. Unfortunately, the same would not happen in the flight back.
Security is uneventful, and we have some breakfast in the terminal. The B-pier is always a good place for planespotting, though today we head directly to our gate, as it is time to board.
Flight routing
- 1VY8250 Vueling: Barcelona BCN - CDG Paris (A320)
- 2
Registration: EC-KLT (Spain)
Type: Airbus A320
Age: 15 years (December 2007)
We board through the front door only. Above us, the sky has some beautiful sparse clouds.

25F, where I'll spend the next couple of hours in the sky. The seats are comfortable enough and the legroom is sufficient for intra-European flights, as a decidedly not tall person (171 cm). Some seats have small advertisements on the back.

The tray table is alright, it is not the sturdiest nor largest, but does the job. The seats do not recline, and I did not notice any charging ports in this particular plane. The seatback pocket contains the BoB menu, safety card and sickness bag.

As almost always from BCN, we depart from 24L, which is a bit of taxiing away. Nothing compared to T2 departures, though.

The lavatory is a standard narrow-body size, and it is squeaky clean. There is no soap, but some wet wipes that may have been left by the crew or a passenger. However, the sink does not run water, so I head to the neighboring lavatory to wash my hands. Which has no soap, either.

As we descend towards France, the F-column gets a wonderful view of Paris.

The flight has been quite bumpy. Since Vueling is a low cost carrier, no meals are included but can be purchased on board.

We land on 27R. It is rather rough, which just adds to the fun. As we take on a long taxi towards Terminal 3, we get a good view of beautiful Concorde.

Finally, buses take us to baggage collection. The area is not big and there are no services besides restrooms. It is cleans and well lit, though. Most signs are in French, English and simplified Chinese.
Strangely enough, our passports are checked when leaving the area, even though it is a Schengen flight. Afterwards, there is a 5-10 minute walk to the train station, which connects directly to Gare du Nord; one of the biggest public transit hubs in Europe.

Wow that was a great view of the city on landing, beautiful! Yeah T3 is really bare bones, but it's nice that you can get to the train easily from there.
