About Midway itself, Durian made a very good report, you can find it here: http://flight-report.com/fr/report-4138.html (sorry, French only, but pictures speak from themselves)
The 'L' provides easy and fast access to MDW for USD 2.25.- The only minor thing is that there is a lot of walkways to follow until the terminal. But it's clean and the signage is good.
My flight, scheduled to be on time:
Some views of the check-in area, where only DL and WN had open desks. As I have 4 flights that day, the self service kiosk can't print me my last BP. I make a quick pass by the SP counter and receive my docs for the whole day.
Then, you have to go down to enter the departure level. There has been a massive queue that morning at TSA and no TSA-pre for me. Infos about TSA-pre registration to be found here: http://www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck/participation-tsa-precheck
On a random basis, you can be eligible for TSA-pre, and that's just awesome. No more need to remove shoes, belts, laptops… A reminder of post 2001 years…
As said, not for me today, half an hour of queuing in the priority lane, lane that will move slower than the others!! It was dead long, thanks god, I had plenty of time!

Thanks for sharing. Surprized there were only pretzels available at 10AM, normally you have a choice of biscoffs or peanuts or pretzels pretty much all day long. I usually avoid the A320s because they only have 3 rows of First which makes the Medallion upgrades more difficult. I also don't like that A319/A320 sometimes do long 4+ hour flights like LAX-CVG but have no IFE, though I think PTVs will be coming with the cabin renovations coming up.
The retrofit will be the new ISIS Cabin by Zodiac :

Yep...but it's not clear whether there will be PTVs or not.
