Hi,
Being on transit, I visited the Swiss Senator Lounge. Actually I think the lounge is rather disappointing: Very small, easily crowded and with only a small and basic selection of food and drinks.

This is the small buffet section:

There is a somehow hidden area after a small corridor that offers nicer and more quiet seating:

The airport of Geneva is rather small but still offers plenty of shops.
After passport control I continued to the new pier which has a very bright and modern design.

Some other interesting planes also waiting for their next trips:

This will be the Swiss A330 operating my flight to New York JFK:

Boarding started on time and in a quiet professional way.
I took my window seat in row 7:

The seat is comfortable enough but definitely shows its age with old controls, small video monitor and almost now stowage areas.

Soon a welcome drink of sparkling wine was offered.

The amenity kit was already placed at the seat and was very basic and cheap looking in my opinion:

Menus were served next:

Lunch:

Bistro service before landing:

We pushed back and quickly taxied for departure.

Powering into the clear skies and climbing out with beautiful views over Lake Geneva.

Those headsets were available at each seat - quality was ok. Unfortunately the movie selection etc. was quite outdated and not the most interesting one.

Service started with table clothes being laid out ca. 40 minutes after departure. All in all I was disappointed by the cabin crew on this flight: They were focused on speaking French and if you were talking to them in English or even German they were not very friendly in providing answers etc. The whole flight had a very cold atmosphere with crew members just doing their basic job and nothing else. I definitely had much better Swiss flights before.
A trolley appeared and cold nuts with Apero were served.

Then after a while drink orders for the main meal were taken.

Followed by the starter tray - already including the cheese plate.

Next was the main dish where I had pre-ordered the Signature dish fish which was tasty.

Unfortunately drink refills were not offered frequently.
Then trays were cleared away and I was asked for my dessert choice where I ordered the Tiramisu with a cup of coffee and Baileys.

Followed by some Lindt chocolates:

The rest of the flight was quiet with watching some films etc.

About 1,5 hours before landing the cabin crew rolled down the trolley again asking for drinks. At this time I was also asked if I want to order something from the Bistro service: I selected the ravioli and some ice cream.

Finishing with a Espresso:

Unfortunately I did not receive a table cloth (while some other passengers did without any noticeable pattern), but only this rather poor looking tray. The service again was very robotic without any eyes for details etc.
At least the ravioli tasted very nice.
Soon we started our descend into JFK with some nice views of Long Island.
It is worth mentioning that never during the whole flight a hot towel was offered - very strange and rare for today's longhaul Business Class services!

We landed at a cloudy JFK and parked next to a nice looking ITA Airbus.

Nice report. Too bad the experience was disappointing overall. GVA lounges definitely don't seem as good as the very nice lounges in ZRH. And yes, the onboard hard product is definitely outdated at this point. I always found these Thompson Vantage seats to feel tight, especially in bed mode.
Thanks for sharing!
