Here we are at our stopover in Rome, where we'll be taking flight ITA630 to Miami. For those of you who don't like flying, as in Barcelona early this morning, there are plenty of travellers here in Rome.

A little ice cream is in order !!!! The hardest part is choosing.

More and more people…

Lots of destinations.

The terminal is being renovated or extended, I don't know. We're looking for the ITA lounge…

It's actually quieter.

A bit of greenery.

And here we are!

It's pleasant, with very few people.

A quick tour of the solid and liquid offerings.

Another one without gene!

We have a light breakfast before discovering the ITA services in Miami, but still with a chtiot prosecco.

Enough eating! We head for our aircraft.

Priorities are more or less respected, and here we are at the door of the plane.

This is our first transatlantic flight on ITA. So we discover the business cabin.

View of a window seat.

At our seats are in place the blanket with pillow and sleepers, the menu and beverage offer, the comfort kit and a cream kit (it's innovative and not bad at all), the small water bottle and the helmet.
The seat is equipped with a 3-point belt.

The reading lamp has a mood light that lights up in harmony with the lamp in the footbox.

The footwell is a good size, and unlike some seats, it's easy to turn around.

Seat controls.

Today's essential sockets and the small IFE remote control.

The second seat control is easy to use when you're lying down.

The seats are stamped ITA.

A vertically sliding partition allows you to isolate yourself from your neighbor.

A glass of prosecco is offered, followed by a hot towel. Then it's off.

Our journey.

Back to the travel kits. The pouch is pretty empty! Has it ever been used? No toothbrush, no mask!

However, the "Relax & Travel" kit is very nice.

The hostesses will visit each passenger to take into account our choices for the aperitif and meal. The menu is typically Italian, with aperitivo, antpasti, primi, secondi and per finire. Here's the proposal for this flight to Miami.

Soft drinks available.

And a choice of Italian wines, of course.

We'll have the apéritif en vogue at the moment: apérol spritz. Served with hot nuts.

The table will be set, with tablecloth, cutlery, butter, plate for bread, hot bread and water.

The first course is brought along, along with the chosen white wine. The dish is called chestnut guinea-hen supreme.
A little bland for my taste, but not bad all the same.

Then comes the traditional second course: pasta. Pumpkin ravioli with cheese and mustard. Excellent!!! And plenty of Parmesan sprinkled on top by my kind hostess. To accompany the antipasti and pasta, a good Italian white wine.

Next came the main course: veal with apple and port sauce. Just as good! Accompanied by a glass of red wine perfectly suited to this dish.

Curious but also greedy, even very greedy, I asked for cheese and dessert! And so here we had the cheese, typically Italian and good.

And to round off this pantagruelian meal, the dessert: chocolate bavarois. Excellent. To accompany this dessert, our hostess offered us a glass of Sicilian wine (sweet): excellent!

And it wouldn't be an Italian meal without a good espresso to finish.

Our flight continues. The film and music offer isn't great, but we'll make do.

It's a daytime flight and I don't really feel like sleeping. But I am a little thirsty. Let's go for an aperol spritz.
Accompanied by nibbles.

An hour before arrival, the hostesses prepare the snack.
But first a hot oshibori.

This time, service is by tray. Margharita pizza, olives and fresh fruit. A little sparkling water for digestion!

Our flight draws to a close. Miam is in sight. We'll be spending 3 days in the city we visited 20 years ago, before boarding our ship for a 15-day cruise in the Caribbean Sea.
