Hi everyone!
Welcome to my Flight Report. In this report, I want to share about my trip back to Surabaya from Bali with Lion Air. I decided to choose Lion Air because it was the cheapest price compared to other low cost airlines with the same route.
I arrived at the airport at around 13:45. Then, I went inside the terminal building to go to the check-in counter. Before you can enter the check-in area, you have to show your boarding pass or itinerary to the security officer, then you can proceed to the check-in counter. I went to the Lion Air check-in counter to collect my boarding pass and drop my baggage because Lion Air gives free 20 kg check-in baggage. I waited for couple of minutes because there were only 2 counters were open for Lion Air, then one 1 counter opened.

I was surprised when the staff told me that they don't print the boarding pass anymore (I think the implementation is different at each airport because I still got a printed boarding pass in Surabaya), instead passengers are required to check-in online through the airline website ("Book Cabin" apps or web for Lion Air Group) and use the digital boarding pass (luckily I already checked-in online in the morning). After that, I went to the security check, then I proceeded to the boarding gate which is located on the second floor.

Before entering the security check area, you need to scan the boarding pass to the autogate

After exploring the terminal building, I went to Gate 6 and waited for my flight there.

Boarding started around an hour before the scheduled flight time together with Super Air Jet flight IU759 bound for Jakarta which used the aerobridge, while my flight used the bus because the plane was parked at the remote stand opposite the terminal building.

Cabin situation during boarding. The flight was full because three flights were merged into one flight as JT919 (JT921 and JT923 were cancelled due to operational reason). I was originally booked for flight JT923, but it was cancelled and the airline put me in JT919 which departed around one hour earlier than my original flight.

My flight path according to Flightradar24:

Just out of curiosity, but I read that Bali recently introduced some kind of tourist fee to enter the island, which somehow has to be enforced by Airport or Airline. Did they enforce this?
