Review of TAP Air Portugal flight from Lisbon to Munich in Business

Hi,

I just had a very quick snack at the very crowded TAP Premium Lounge. This lounge is feeling somehow not best in shape, always very crowded and there are many food choices but from quality aspect only medium in my opinion.

Boarding was via bus and after a while we reached our A330neo. I was very excited that this widebody operated this medium haul flight today - normally this route is always operated by Airbus narrowbodies.

A friendly crew was welcoming us and I took my seat in the very nice Business Class cabin.

The seat is nice and comfortable but already looks worn at many corners.

Some nice closable stowage areas.

Headsets were also waiting at my seat.

The cabin stayed rather empty and very calm on this flight.

The friendly purser approached me, introduced herself and whished my a good flight - a very nice and rare gesture.

Finally taking off into cloudy skies for a flight of 2 hours 30 minutes.

Reaching cruising altitude.

As much as I was excited by the plane, as much was I disappointed by the meal. I was expecting typical TAP medium haul service: aperitif and printed menu plus a warm dinner (considering this flight is scheduled to land at 7:30 PM in the evening). However the crew approached me with a cold snack tray soon after takeoff. The crew mentioned that on flights departing in the afternoon they do only offer this snack despite the landing in the evening - very disappointing in my opinion.

The meal was really nothing special - at least the cabin crew was very friendly and offered more warm bread and frequent drink refills.

So I had some coffee refills.

Finishing with a tasty Portuguese Gin Tonic.

Descend into Munich offered some great views of the Alps and Bavaria.

Touching down and parking at the Lufthansa home base Terminal 2.
