Transiting in KLIA

After arriving at KLIA 2, we proceded past the transfer process and into the main lobby. The center of KLIA 2 was carpeted and surrounded by shops, on the upper level was a food court.

After eating breakfast in the upper level foodcourt, we proceeded through security and into the widebody gates

At the gate
Compared to KLIA 1s terminal, KLIA 2 was more cramped and walking to the gate felt like walking through a corridor. Also, the gates had barely any signage to tell where ours was

This was the plane, 9M-XXF nicknamed Northern X-Posure (cheeky pun), a 2010 built A330-300. Its still painted in the 2017 special "10 Xciting Years" livery (even though its now been 17 years since Airasia X first flew)

When we got to the gate, it was still empty and we had to wait approximately 30 minutes for the boarding announcement to begin

Soon, boarding began and we walked up to the gate
Inside the plane

My seat was 31J and just like all Airasia planes it was made of a leather seat

Pushback and Take-Off

Soon after, pushback commenced

Cruising

Status of the cabin on our flight to Perth

Before the flight, me and my dad pre-ordered some meal to eat, so I got Airasia's famed Nasi Lemak. The food was quite good, for an LCC that is

Thanks for sharing this rare look at D7’s long-haul product. The 3-3-3 in an A330 has got to feel tight especially in the window seat with the plane’s curvature, but probably acceptable for a 5h flight. Do they sell the 2-3-2 in the tail for more money? Even with their basic LCC offering, their meals usually look decent quality compared to mains on full-service carriers. The complete lack of charging ports or IFE is a disadvantage compared to the likes of TR (even if they charge you for them).
Interesting to see a review on AirAsia X as there aren't too many out there. Yikes, those seats look soooooo narrow. My back hurts just looking at them haha. Luckily this flight is less than 6h long. It's also bearable if the price is significantly lower than the competition.
Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome, I didn't know AirAsia X hasn't had that many reviews in this website
