We arrived in no time at JFK T8 and caught the staff off guard,so we had to check in at the World Travellet Plus desks even though we were travelling in First. Personally,I found the whole New York arrivals and departures experience sub-par with perfunfory staff, my opinion only! At last we reached the Chelsea lounge. In my opinion not as good as the Heathrow Concorde room but the staff were great. Welcoming and provided great hospitality

Once in the lounge we settled in with a glass of champagne and a serving of Lobster Bisque soup and potato croquettes. Tasty and ample

We boarded and saw it was First Suite with doors and settled in with a glass of champagne and some nibbles. Given this was a short overnight flight, the service protocol was odd, as if the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, a total contrast to our outbound crew.

Our dinner service was fine, I had soup and my friend had deconstructed prawn cocktail and salmon. Then for me it was time for bed

I awoke with a cup of tea and an orange juice, still tired and wanting to get home. Disembarkation was not good, 2 airbridges, one at door 1 L for First and one at door 2L for Club. The Club door was attached first so we had to use this while they were still attaching the First airbridge. Heathrow immigration, a scrummage but better than Newark. I just want to get home. An enjoyable but tiring time in N
