Singapore - Hong Kong on Jetstar Asia
Introduction
This trip report is from 2005.
I visited Hong Kong for the 1st time in 2005.

This report cover the return trip to Hong Kong.
Qantas QF127 Sydney to Hong Kong
I flew with Qantas QF127 from Sydney Terminal 1 at 11:15 am to Hong Kong Terminal 1 at 5:50 pm on 30th June 2005.
I was late at check-in and could make it on the flight only because of bad weather. Flight was delayed. As it was a full flight, I got middle seat.

Due to bad weather, East- West runway was in use. Single runway was operating, Qantas Boeing 767-300 landing on runway 25,

Departure
Flight was delayed as single runway was in use due to bad weather. Aircraft departed from runway 25, my 1st experience flying taking off from that runway. Its rare for flights to take off towards the East.
Cabin Service
I didn't take any photos of the interior. Got served lunch and refreshments on this flight. I had chosen chicken for the meals.
Arriving in Hong Kong
After landing, I exited the arrivals and then got a Oyster card and took Airport Express to Tsim Sha Sui.
I stayed in Hong Kong for 3 days. On the second day, I took a ferry to Macua and returned at night.
Next day, I flew from Hong Kong on Jetstar Asia to Singapore. It was late night flight, Boarding for the flight was by bus. As it was dark. I didn't take any photos of Hong Kong to Singapore flight. I remember the black leather seats on Jetstar Asia. Cabin Service was Buy on Board.
I reached Singapore late in the night and took a taxi to hotel.

Arriving at the Airport
I arrived at the airport by MRT. I was early as check-in opened 3hr before departure.
Jetstar Asia departed from Terminal 1.
Check-in
I had booked the ticket through travel agent. I was under limit had no issues with the baggage.
Immigration
I cleared immigration within 2 mins had to handover a slip that was given on arrival.
Boarding
I arrived early at the gate. Aircraft was parked at the gate. Baggage was loading.
Boarding call was made, I boarded last as I was seated in the 1st row of the all economy aircraft. I had the window seat.
My neighbour was an old Hongkongese women. Aisle seat was empty.
Departure
Flight departed on time. Crew was seated in front of me. In those days, couldn't use electronic at time of take off.
Onboard
The crew was friendly on this flight. I remember this flight as I had a conversation with women where neither or us couldn't understand each others language, yet able to communicate using gesture.
Time passed quickly and flight was close to Hong Kong.
Cabin Service
Cabin service was buy on board. I didn't buy anything as I had eaten at the airport before boarding.

Disembarkation
Disembarkation was by stairs followed by Bus ride to terminal. As it was dark and the bus was full, was unable to take any photos.
Immigration and Custom
Hong Kong had visa on arrival, I was able to clear without issue. I walked through the Green channel to exit the arrival area.

I exchanged some Hong Kong Dollars at the airport then got a Oyster card for tourist.
Flight schedule
I had booked accommodation at Kings Hotel in Yau Ma Tei. I took the Airport Express then bus to Yau Ma Tei.
