Onboard

Aircraft was parked at a gate with no view. Was unable to see the aircraft. When I entered, I found the window seat had no window view. Was annoyed with the ground service in Hong Kong as i checked in much earlier.

In those days  had to request ground crew for a window seat as there was not self-check-in.

Consolation was it was the emergency exit seat with plenty of legroom.

Inflight

Didn't take any photos in flight as it was a red-eye, the inflight service was ok.

Passengers were provided menu and water bottle. Amenity kit was provided which had eyeshade, toothbrush, paste in plastic pouch. After takeoff, was served Supper.

I had chosen chicken and breakfast was hash-brown, chicken sausage and scrambled egg. I chose orange juice for breakfast.

I had walked a lot earlier and fell a sleep after having red wine with supper. In the morning and was served Breakfast before arrival.

Australian arrival card was provided by the crew before arrival. I filled the form and was ready for arrival.

Arrival in Sydney

Arrived in Sydney on time, exited the aircraft from gate 10, which does not view of airside. Could not note the aircraft registration.

Immigration and Quarantine

Cleared immigration without issue.

I was sent to quarantine queue for check. Hand bag was x-rayed. The officer asked me what is the silver shining thing in the handbag. I couldn't remember. When she opened the bag, it was a water bottle that I got on the flight. I had drunk half and put it in the bag.
Bottle was disposed and I was allowed to exit.

Exiting Airport

I took a taxi home, being morning. There was some traffic heading home.

Conclusion

I had a satisfactory flight. Being a red-eye, I fell a sleep immediately after meal only to wake for breakfast.

Being pre-Wifi days, entertainment was on personal screen. I didn't watch anything.

Meal was adequate for the duration of flight.
