Hi everyone,
After a 3-week trip to Namibia, I am on my way for a 3-days stay at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Here are some pictures of Windhoek at the time of the Jacarandas blosoming season.

Windhoek Airport with the advert for the launch of the KLM Amsterdam-Windhoek line in continuation of Luanda

Qatar has also just started the line

I am early at the airport, I wanted to visit the Windhoek Botanical Garden but going there on the morning of departure, it was closed.
So I would be 3 hours early for my flight.
Airport shop, late Kingfisher airlines kind of model

Check-in for flight to VFA

and the Surprise, my flight is 3 hours late, the person at the check-in informs me that the flight is delayed because we are waiting for the plane that comes from Luderitz. In fact the plane that we were supposed to take has a technical problem and we have to wait for the next available plane which is none other than the one that comes from Luderitz

This gives me time to enjoy the sun outside and do a bit of spotting after the immigartion and safety checks

the boarding starts

Today it will be the V5-ANF which arrived in the Air Namibia fleet on February 9, 2011 and started its career on April 28, 2000 at Proteus Airlines in France
And here is the plane that we were supposed to take at the base

Today only 7 passengers for this flight

Very nice views while flying over Namibia

Thanks for reading
Looks like a nice flight other than the delay, I wish I'd been able to fly them
They were a Nice airlines compared to what you find now on many airlines, less and less service
Yep for sure, do you think they were better than Airlink or SAA?
Thanks for another exotic report! Windhoek looks like a beautiful city and I love Jacarandas! We are lucky to have a bunch of Jacaranda trees here in California it’s gorgeous when they’re in bloom.
Looks like really good service for an RJ, minus the delay.
The city center is Nice but you have to be carefull as well downtown like in joburg
