Review of Korean Air flight from Singapore to Seoul in Economy

Hi everyone and welcome to another trip report this time i will be heading to seoul and jeju south korea for my chinnese new year holiday With korean air and Eastar Jet .Korean air is another skyteam airline to tryout when i took mainly china eastern  and Xiamen airlines  and it has 3 daily flights to seoul incheon with B747 8 intercontinental ,B777 300 ER and A330 300 and the only skyteam airline to depart from changi Terminal 4  . korean air has 25 B777 300 ER with old and new cabin configuration .My ride to seoul was a brand new cabin  configuration  of the B777 300 ER 

Few hours before departure  i check on flightrader 24  and the aircraft that was bringing me to seoul was HL 8347 a 5 year old  b777 300 ER and it made many international flights inclduing from london heathrow  however my flight to seoul delayed one hour later to 2.30am along with the late arrival of the B747 8i HL7637 as KE 643 

Check in was done   at row 6 of changi terimnal 4  and also check in online to recieve digital boarding pass  i got there by using the mrt from my metro station near my home and a shuttle bus from terminal 2 that would take it directly to terminal 4  departures. We also recieve boarding pass at counter 6 and drop off our lugguage .The departure immigration and security took about 10 minutes and were in airside of terminal 4 we spent nearly 2 hours at the airside before heading to gate G20 to board the B777 300 ER 

here my ride to seoul south korea its a 5 year old B777 300 ER HL 8347 (Hotel lima 8347) was  just arrived from seoul as KE645 along with the late arrival B747 8i HL7637 as KE643  also arriving from seoul

we also spotted the B7478i HL 7637 parking next to us and took about 1 hour and 10 minutes  to turn around the B777 300 ER and B747 8I  before returning to seoul as KE644 and our ride KE646 with catering and cargo loaded 

Boarding commences around 2.15am with zone number and boarded thru zone 3 and walk past the new business class cabin to reach my seat 35J the Inflight entertainment was easy to use with a touch screen interface and using panasonic EX3  and a remote control .The earphone can be collected at the jetbridge upon boarding and easy to use as well. 

even the nice wing view of the B777 300 ER  and cathay pacific a350 900 

there some good inflight entertainment selection on the beyond inflight entertainment system as well as interactive 3d  flight map  which is easy to zoom in and out like singapore airlines 

also seen a promo video on korean air  upon boarding.

i decided to watch transformers One 2024  while boarding is on going before the cabin door closes and safety video was played.

The safety video  of the B777 300 ER with ai flight attendant   was played after the cabin door was closed and the movie resume after the safety video is played

we were push back from gate G20 shortly  and startup with a loud GE90 and flaps sound before taxing past Korean air B747 8I few minutes later than our B777 300 ER  and some a320 towards the runway 

there also a foward camera on the B777 300 ER of korean air 

we were given refreshments as well as corn tea before the cabin lights switch off to rest i slept about a good 3 hours before continuing the transformers one movie 

3 hours later after a sleep and we flying over taiwan when i check the interactive 3D map and finnish watching transformers one Movie  before watching another movie Coraline 2009 

Breakfast  service was served 2 hours before landing into seoul incheon and there two option which is the omelette option and another is the stir beef  with black been sauce the menu can be view anytime before departure which is similiar to the singapore airlines menu  therfore i tried the omellete which was good as well as the potatoes and egg  even the fruit platter as well as the skyteam napkins ,metal utensils  and tray layout .

Drinks was served shortly during the meal service and i decided to go for the orange juice while enjoying the breakfast service  as well as coffee and tea service which i enjoy the coffee while watching the movie before meal tray were collected 

Arrival cards into korea was distributed 1 hour before landing into seoul incheon we filled out our arrival cards which took about 5 minutes to fill out .We  started our decend into seoul incehon in a snowy weather and caught a nice view of the sky upon landing .

we touched down into seoul incheon around 9.49 am 1 hour late than our sechduled arrival time 8 50 am in a snowy weather.

Taxi past some korean air fleets along with the new korean air  A350 900  in a snowy weather before parking next to Garuda indonesia A330 300  PK GPV at the gate 

We disembark the B777 300 ER and caught some snowy view of the airport as well as Korean air B7879 Hl 8390 and another B777 300 ER while walking towards the arrival hall 

Immigration took about 25 minutes due to long lines and few counters open and collected my suitcase  at the baggage claim before making my way to seoul gimpo for the domestic flight on eastar jet via arex train .Although this is a good trip report and definetly fly korean air B777 300 ER again on a long haul flight  do stay tuned on the domestic trip report to jeju.
