Hello everyone,
Here is a flight on the new US BANGLA AIRLINES company owned by an American Bangaldeshi group and which at the time of this flight only operated DASH 8 Q 400. Since then they have acquired Boeing 737 and A 330 for international flights.
Here I am after two weeks of vacation in Bangladesh on my way to the south of the country, having no direct flight between Saidpur and Chittagong, so I have to go through Dhaka and change planes.
The plane ticket for this quick flight is 3200 Takas or about 33 euros purchased directly on the company's website

A glimpse of Saidpur airport, quite small and which has only had domestic flights for a short time because at the time of the opening to competition of private companies only Biman Bangladesh operated flights to this small airport and had stopped flying to this city for a while. Since then 3 companies operate flights between Dhaka and Saidpur (Biman, US Bangla Airlines and Novo Air). A sign indicates that there is WIFI in the terminal, something surprising when you see the airport, but it will not work anyway.

You can see that the terminal is quite basic, it feels like traveling to another era
everything is done by hand and the suitcases are weighed on an old scale. You can see the counters of United Airways company which at that time had already stopped all flights due to lack of planes in working order.

our plane arrived, it is a Dash 8 Q400 having operated for one of the companies of the Lufthansa group hence the seats with the LH logo

On this flight the meal is offered in the form of a box. The two hostesses on my flight are as warm as prison guards, which is a shame, especially for an airline that has just been created. The cabin, on the other hand, is impeccable. No in-flight magazine is offered, which is quite a shame

the safety card

When I arrived in Dhaka we were parked away from the terminal which allowed us to do a bit of spotting.

luggage is delivered to the domestic arrivals hall. We are really in another dimension, fortunately domestic flights are not all operated by Boeing 737.

Nice report again titi2106! These throwback reports are always such a pleasure to read from you. It's a shame about the cabin crew, I've tend to notice that crew usually are better on new airlines (my experience), but seems this wasn't the case. Maybe not always as polished, but usually more excited to be onboard. Not a bad* snack for such a short flight as well.
I too would be curious about their long haul flights on the A330. It seems, if I am not mistaken, that they added an ex Cebu Pacific aircraft with a whopping 438 seats in a 3-3-3 config. That would be a cool flightreport if someone got around to it.
Thanks for sharing.
I did a flight on FlyPOP A 330 from Hi Fly so I guess it s the same cabin. ok for a short flight but for a 5-6 hours flight 😱.
thanks for the comments
