Review of Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore to Guangzhou in Economy

Hello and welcome to another trip report on singapore airlines B787 10(SC variants) to guangzhou china during hari raya holiday period as well as to guilin china .It is  one of another regional aircraft to tryout after the A350 900 regional  ride on 9v shg last year to hongkong  back in april 2024 and trying out most other aircraft in the singapore airlines fleet .The singapore to guangzhou route is  operated by 2 boeing type one is the B787-10 departing  at 8.05 am in the morning and 737 max 8 departing   around 8.50 pm  at night therefore we took the b787-10 route to and from guangzhou .Funfact about the B787-10 singapore airlines currently has 28 B787-10 in the fleet and introduced in 2018 as a launch customer of the b787-10 variant  and its  part of the replacement to the B777 200 ,B777 300 non er also known as the B777 regional series  and A330 300 and operate flights to asia such as china ,japan ,thailand as well as australia and  has 36 business class and 301 economy seat with no premium economy on the b787-10 despite being a regional aircraft like the a350 900 regional (sh variant).

The check in for Most flights to china including to hongkong on singapore airlines uses terminal 3 while most asean ,japan and korea uses terminal 2  we met up with the representative from the travel agent on the day of departure around 5.20 am and took a grab rideshare from my home   and proceed to check in at the automated kiosk it took about 10 minutes to check in using the automated check in machines  and recieve boarding pass before dropping off  our  suitcase at the baggage drop  machines the queue for the check in assistance lane was quite long but manage to use the check in machines instead . We then proceeded to the airside of terminal 3 and immigration took about 1 minute with the passportless immigration clearance   which uses only facial recognition and then headed to the eatteries to have light breakfast .

I did enjoy the cup of coffee from old chang kee as well .

We then proceed to gate C22 of terminal 1 to board the b787-10  which took about 20 minutes walk from the eateries at terminal 3 gate A side and walk past gate B of terminal 3. By the time we reach gate C22 the gate is open and procceed to Security take place at the gate before entering the holding area here my ride to guangzhou china a 8 month old brand new b787-10 9v scy (nine vctor sierra charlie yankee)

 boarding was well organised and called in groups starting from business class to economy and scanned the boarding pass at the gate agent  before  recieve the arrival card to enter china and collected earphone at the jetbridge.

 we also boarded by the back door and walk all the way to the back of the 787-10.Here  my seat was 70K on the right side of the  window seat . The b787-10 the seat was comfortable as a350900 regional and a380 and the inflight entertainment screen also known as krisworld has good selection of tv and music and using panasonic EX3 it also shows  latest movie of the month  on krisworld and the boarding music was played during boarding.

cargo loading was onging and saw the nice wing view of the b787-10 and the a350 900 9v smr heading to melbourne australia which push back earlier than our b787-10.

There also the interactive flight map system on the krisworld entertainment which zoom in and out easily and one of my favourite flight map system 

Started off watching  the Wild robot 2024 and hot towel was served once boarding is completed which refresh myself and annoucement was made in english and mandrain chinnese 

We pushback ontime from the gate and the safety video of the b787-10  was played with mandrain chinnese subtitles and engine started before taxing to runway 2L for takeoff 

After the safety video found the advertisment of the skytrax awards 2024 as singapore airlines is the best airline in the year 2024 followed by  a video on how to login to the krisworld wifi portal before resuming the movie 

we took off at 8.32am and have a nice sunrise upon takeoff before heading east 

shortly after takeoff the windows were dimmed  into blue setting and i did manage to try the dimmeable window setting while enjoying the movie 

 There free wifi onboard most of the singapore airlines flight even for krisflyer member  i did manage to try out the wifi and pleasantly supprise it works when i tried to link with the krisflyer account  and were now heading east when i check on flightrader24 

Breakfast was served shortly after takeoff  the choice are veal sausage with omellete  or soy sauce chicken with yellow noodles the menu can be check on the singapore airlines website a week before departure and i go for the soy sauce chicken with yellow noodles which was delicious  even the usual bread and butter ,fruits and yogurt and mineral water bottle as well there even no dessert on morning flights out of singapore and did enjoy the cup of coffee to go with the meal.

Were now flying over vietnam along with china southern B737 max8 B 205K heading to guangzhou ahead of our B787-10 

I start to watch another movie Lilo and stitch 2002 one of my favourite disney movies after the meal service 

Water were given out before landing into guangzhou baiyun airport and after the lilo and stitch movie were ended .

Were now flying over Hongkong international airport  and shenzhen before approaching to guangzhou baiyun airport and the landing music was played when decending into guangzhou 

we touched down at around 12.08PM 2 mins ahead of schedule  and taxi towards terminal 2 

we park at the gate near to the arrival immigration 10 minutes later and disembark the b787-10 from the center aerobridge door and caught a nice view of 9v scy before it return to singapore as SQ851 after a 1 hour turnaround 

The immigration clearance  took about 35 minutes due to long lines however it was fast as my previous trip to china  and manage to complete  the arrival card early instead of filing up the arrival card at the arrival card desk before clearing immigration and collect my suitcase at baggage claim before meeting up with my tourguide for my guilin and yangshuo this is a good trip report on the b787-10 which is comfortable as b777 200 and a330 300 and definetly would try out the  regional product again even flights within 3 hours or more see you on my next trip report on pheeplanes bye.
