Review of Singapore Airlines flight from Guangzhou to Singapore in Economy

Hello everyone and welcome to another trip report on another singapore airlines  B787-10 ride home after a week in guilin and guangzhou during the march and hari raya holiday period and enjoy my time admiring the guilin landscape  and li river  as well as one night in guangzhou before returning to singapore the next day . 

Few hours before departure i check on flightrader24  on which b787-10 will be operating back to singapore and it turn out to be another new b787-10 9V SCZ (nine victor sierra charlie zulu )  will be my ride home and flying to guangzhou as SQ850 

We head to guangzhou baiyun airport terminal 2 3 hours before departure and we stay at the hotel close to the airport  which took about 10 minutes drive from the airport .Singapore airlines uses row N of guangzhou baiyun airport terminal 2 and the check in queue was long and took about 15 minutes before our turn to checkin we did manage to checkin online on the singapore airlines wesbsite 3 days prior to departure we gotten physical boarding pass and drop my suitcase before heading thru the hk macau and taiwan departures we did manage to say goodbye to our tour guide for the guilin and guangzhou trip and visiting many attractions in guilin .The security lanes at baiyun airport took about 15 minutes to pass thru as well as immigration out of china which took about 10 minutes and were in airside shortly after 

There are many departures to south east asia destination on china southern airlines as well as korean air A330 300 to seoul and our B787-10 to singapore 

we did enjoy a light lunch at subway before making our way to the gate to board our b787-10 home

Boarding commence 10 minutes early and we queue based on the zone before proceding down to the jetbridge and boarded thru the second door  here my ride home from guangzhou a brand new  7 month old b787-10 9v scz (nine victor sierra charlie zulu) just arrived as sq850 and returning back to singapore as sq851

we  picked up earphones at the jetbridge before going to row 65  at the rear section of the b787-10 and spotted a nice engine view of the b787-10

 my seat was 65A the window seat of the b787-10 the seat was comfortable and much the same as my ride to guangzhou a week ago on 9v scy the inflight entertainment screen also known as krisworld has good selection of tv and music and using panasonic EX3 it also shows latest movie of the month on krisworld and the boarding music was played during boarding at the same time.

The inflight map was also interactive and one of my favourite inflight map system which can zoom in and out whenever you want 

spotted korean air A330 300 HL7524 taxi past our b787-10  heading to runway 01 for departure to seoul incheon 

started the first movie sonic the hedgehog  3 2024 and hot towels were served after boarding has completed

 The safety video of the b787-10 was played with mandrain chinnese subtitles  while waiting for our turn to pushback

we push back after the safety video was played and the nice sound of the B787 rolls royce engines before taxing to runway 01 for departure 

spotted some planes queuing for takeoff 

shortly after takeoff the windows were dimmed into blue setting and i did manage to try the dimmeable window setting while enjoying the movie. 

There free wifi onboard most of the singapore airlines flight even for krisflyer member i did manage to try out the wifi when pairing with the krisflyer account.

were now flying out of china according to flightradar24 heading south towards singapore 

lunch was served 30 minutes after departure and the choice are pasta with beef  bolognese pasta or wok fried sanbei chicken with rice wine and basil The menu can be avaliable on the digital content portal or before your flight on the singapore airlines website a week before departure and i decided to try the sanbei chicken with rice 

The meal came with a salad a usual breadroll and metal utensils and the meal is delicious even the mushrooms and peas to go with the chicken and the rice  as well as the shrimp salad.

and also enjoy the applejuice to go with the meal  while watching moana 2 2024

Ice cream was served shortly during the meal service it was a coconut flavour which is good also.

after watching moana 2 we started our decent into changi airport runway 2L  

we also make a holding pattern before landing into runway 2L

we fly over batam island before landing into runway 2L and the landing music was played at the same time 

saw a nice view of the ships as well as a view of east coast park and tanah merah

we touch down at 5.30PM 15 minutes early and taxi towards gate E28 of terminal 2 for disembarkation

we taxi past 9v scy the same aircraft that brought us to guangzhou lastweek now resting at the aparon along with other b787-10  and one etihad a380 resting together with one of the singapore airlines a380 

and taxi past singapore airlines 9v shb a350 900 heading to bangkok along with lufthansa a350900 arrived from munich germany 

we parked at gate E28 of terminal 2  right next to singapore airlines b737 800 9v MGN  arrived from penang malaysia and heading to kathmandu nepal as SQ442 

Spotted a rare lufthansa  B747 400 D abvw  arriving from frankfurt germany while waiting to disembark and bid goodbye to the nice cabin crew as well.

a last view of 9v scz brought me home before heading to immigration .

Immigration took about 5 minutes despite there a queue for the Eiacs and the passportless immigration clearance i did manage to complete the Singapore arrival card (SGAC) with health decleration no more than 3 days before my trip home which can be done on the ica website  or the my ica app and cleared thru  the passportless immigration clearance with facial recognition. After immigration it took quite a while to pick up my suitcase before heading home via ride share (grab)  although this is a good trip report to end my guilin and guangzhou trip and also enjoy the b787-10 and would try more regional product again soon see you again on another trip report on pheeplanes bye.
