This is a very special Flight as Its the very first flight between my homebase, Lucknow (LKO) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL),Malaysia. As my city's first and only Flight Reporter/PlaneSpotter I try to take every opportunity to cover all the special/Inaugural flights to and from my homebase and this one is among the top of my list.

As I arrived at my homebase T3's departure it was expected to see the inaugural flight's decoration and there was a sense of joy among passengers to finally have a NON STOP flight to Malaysia given India has a huge diaspora that resides in Malaysia and this flight is also great for those looking to connect to flights to Australia/New Zealand/South East Asia and Pacific.

Our Flight is AK14 operated with an Airbus A320Neo Reg.[9M-RAH] and scheduled departure time is 22:00 Indian Standard Time and Arrival time is 05:25 local Malaysian Time next day. The Flight occupancy is full and I saw many passengers flying to Australia,Singapore,Brunei and Indonesia as well so its a good option to have one more NON STOP flight to South East Asia.
AirAsia's Thai subsidiary Thai AirAsia (FD) already flies between LKO and DMK so this is AirAsia's second connection with my homebase.

It was a quick immigration and security check following which I headed to my Boarding Gate 20 which is where I boarded on my flight to KUL and though the flight was a few minutes delayed the boarding and deboarding was quick and swift.
Given its the inaugural flight there was no goodies or gifts at my homebase so I was a little upset however, I did expect some gifts or goodies when we arrived at KUL

The cabin was pretty much like any other AirAsia Aircraft with similar legroom and seat pocket contents comprised of a safety instructions card, Santan Meal Menu booklet + Promotional Item magazine.
We took from RWY 27 and turned left to South East towards Malaysia flying over the eastern Indian state of Odisha then over the Indian Archipelago of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and finally into Malaysian airspace.

Shortly after takeoff the aircraft levelled ans continued the ascend to the cruising altitude of 37000 FT.The crew prompted its inflight services begining with the meal distribution to those who had pre-booked their meals following the buy on board sales.
I had pre-booked my vegetarian Napoletana Mushroom Pizza and coffee on the side to go with it.Talking about the taste then it was served hot and tasted ok but could have been better had it had more cheese and mushroom toppings but it was Okaish.

Shortly after the meal service and inflight sales services the cabin lights were dimmed for the remainder of the flight till the descent when the Cabin lights came back on and the crew prepared the cabin for landing.
We landed near dawn break at KUL and as I was expecting there was a goodie bag and gift distribution to all passengers as this was the Inaugural flight from Lucknow to Kuala Lumpur. So in Goodies we got a red carry bag with an AirAsia water bottle also another white goodie bag with a multisoket charger and cable also a Pin from Tourism Malaysia with Maysia outline map in Malaysian flag colours and a multi colour pen.
Overall a great flight with AirAsia and more than anything Im glad to have recorded this piece of history for my homebase on my channel.
Thank you for flying with me.
