Namaste everyone 🙏
This is one of my most precious Flights ever as its Indian Subcontinent's and perhaps World's only and first CAT IIIB Flight Report.I flew this back in february of 2021 when the world was just recovering from the pandemic but as Avgeek I continued to follow my love and passion for flying.

I flew with IndiGo (6E) Airbus A321Neo Reg (VT-IUK) and just basic seat pocket contents plus comfortable spacious seats with no IFE and just an Inflight Magazine that has a section of Inflight Menu Selection.

We took off on time from Mumbai (BOM) and headed straight over the Arabian sea before turning towards the North East enroute my homebase Lucknow (LKO) and ascended to climb to our cruising altitude of 37000 FT.
I always enjoy the early morning takeoffs and landings as I get to see the beautiful sunrise from my favourite place i.e aircraft window and its a surreal sight everytime I see it.
Soon after the takeoff the Cabin crew wraped in pandemic precautionary gear+ face shield and mask started the inflight services.

IndiGo is a Low Cost Carier so it doesn't have complimentary inflight services like Meal service etc and you have to pre book your meals which I did on this particular flight and it was a vegan sandwich called veg trio sandwich that had fruits and salad as the stuffing in the bread which came with a complomentary option of a beverage to choose from either a fruit juice or an aerated drink and all of it was quite tasty and filling.

After about 1 and a half hour we began our descent into my homebase LKO and after a few cirucits we bgan our CAT IIIB final approach into my homebase's ILS C3B RWY 27.
CAT IIIB ILS is the most advanced ILS system on the planet and a very few airports across the globe have it and In India as of 2025 there are 6 Airprorts that are equiped with it -: Lucknow(LKO),
Delhi(DEL),Kolkata(CCU),Amritsar(ATQ),
Bengaluru(BLR),Jaipur (JAI)
It has always been a dream of mine to experience an automatic landing and thats one of the reasons why I took this flight because its usually CAT IIIB conditions in the northern part of India during winter months from December to Early February and I was finally in the luck to expeirence what I ahd dreamt of aboard this flight and that too at my own homebase.

This particular flight report is one of a kind that I really wish to share with as many Aviation geeks as posisble to see how exciting it is to experience an autoland when you literally see fog everywhere around and it makes you fall in love with planes so much more to know advanced and impressive these machines are and technology as whole has made it so easier for us to travel with ease even in foggy conditions.
I hope you all enjoyed this Flight Report.Thank you for flying with me
