Review of Qatar Airways flight from Munich to Doha in Economy

Hi,

I dropped of my luggage at the Qatar check in desks in Terminal 1 - module A. There was a wait of ca. 20 minutes at the web checkin counters until a friendly lady handled my luggage.

Departure for Qatar happens in module C and here security and passport check was quick for me today. Once airside, Terminal 1 is really boring with a very small choice of shops. I spotted another Arabian carrier 787 (Etihad) before reaching my plane of today.

Boarding started on time and in an organized manner by groups.

I took my window seat in the back of the cabin. The cabin looks nice and modern.

Seat pitch is fine and I like the clever stowage nets provided. Really helpful is the small separate fold down holder for mobile phones etc. above the regular tray table.

Once boarding was completed, packaged refreshing towels were distributed - a really nice touch in Economy.

The windows were really dirty/wet that morning and I could only take some blurry pictures while on the ground.

We departed on time for a journey of ca. 5 hours 30 minutes.

Having some great views on the Alps.

I really liked that Qatar offers rather high quality over the ear headphones in Economy:

No printed menus were provided - however the menu could be looked up upfront before the journey on the Qatar Airways App:

An extensive selection of drinks was also offered:

About 1 hour into the flight service started - the trolley offering a brunch tray and drinks.

I opted for the beef dish:

Along with a glass of wine and some coffee.

Also nice that Qatar offers metal cutlery in Economy:

The meal tasted good and was perfectly adequate for an Economy trip. Only the bread was really bland and dry and no butter or jam was provided. The cabin crew passed by several times offering drink refills before clearing the trash.

I watched a movie and about 1 hour later snacks were offered from a basket plus multiple runs of the crew offering water and juices from a tray.

Soon it was time to start the descend and land on time at sunny Doha Airport.
