The food offering is sub-par: only soup, cold cuts, industrial cheese and snacks. The soft offer is ok, and the hard one is good:

I quickly enquired about a paid upgrade in J, but the price was EUR 350.- and 35 000 miles each. Only for miles or € I would have done it, but both together, no thanks. We'll stay in Y+ that has a good product though.
That's our bird for the 10:05 flight time:

The boarding procedure is launched 90 minutes before the STD, crazy. But this time is needed as you got to go through security, answer some questions, so you need time to do this all. I always go one hour before to the gate, thanks to the SP special lanes, that's always enough, and once all cleared, it is already time to board usually.
As the boarding passes are scanned after security, boarding itself is limited to the opening of the door, and a call for disabled passenger, then SP and Business. That's it.
I did choose seats 10A and 11AB for my parents, and loved 10A, unlimited legroom, two windows, and no toilets in front. That means less trafic and no people standing in front of you. The only little thing is the galley noise, but you can't have it all ^^ But this seat belongs to history now, as DL moved the galley from the back of the J section to the front of the Y section to accomodate the new J cabin. That means that instead of the unlimited legroom you have a bulkhead now…

Soon enough we take-off:

The EC product is great. The seat reclines 50% more, all rows have at least 10cm more legroom and there is free booze. ALL the booze for free :)
I'll start right away with the aperitive:

Awesome seat pitch:

Apéro time:

After Svetlana, on this flight I'll have Mitch from Texas, a fantastic guy. Lots of humour, charming, always chatty, and for each drink order, I'll have always a double dose! My english was quite poor at the end of the flight. So here is my first double bac and coke ;) For lunch, two more will follow!!
The meal with the lid on:

Without:

To be honnest, it was lovely, the salad was fresh, the pasta had lots of taste and were spicy. My parents took the chicken and they liked is as well. Cheese was ok and the cookie was good. Not 'haute gastronomie' but good. To finish, double baileys and coffee!
Beautiful scenaries below us:

IFE was AVOD and good a bit slow though. This one has now disapeared in favor of the new one with the new seats.

There is a mid-flight snack service as well. My parents thought it was already the pre-arrival snack and found the timing odd. That made me smile, and I had to explain them what it was.
I like that service, it breaks the routine of the flight and always comes at a moment where you feel you would love to eat something. A simple sandwich with mayo and a chocolate. Enough and filling, together with a double vodka apple:

Before arrival, the snack is served, a hot pizza with cheese and tomato (not fantastic but ok) and a vanilla chocolate ice cream:

Didn't know about the mid-flight snack, does DL offer this on all transatlantic flights or just the ones to the West Coast?
Amazing efficiency for international arrivals at SEA!
Thanks for the nice read!
Thanks ! Seems they offer it on longer flights only.
Great report with nice pics.
It seems that DL makes an effort to provide a decent amount of food on these long haul flights. Now if they can offer a proper starter and dessert instead of cookie it would be perfect.
