Hello everyone and welcome to another trip report this time i will be visiting shenzhen and hongkong during my june holidays and trying out cathay pacific the flag carrier of hongkong .Cathay pacific operates a mix fleet of airbus aircaft which is the a330 300 ,A350 900 and a321Neo down to singapore and has 8 daily flights to singapore other than singapore airlines and scoot however on the month of june cathay pacific is operating a mix fleet of B777 300 ,A350900 and mainly A330 300 as well as A321Neo on other days for this trip we will be taking CX710 which departs singapore at 8am which has ample of time to get to shenzhen via louhu border crossing and returning to singapore on CX635 which depart on 3.15Pm 6 days later

Few hours departures i check on flightrader24 on which aircraft will be taking me to hongkong it turnout to be B LAD (Bravo lima alpha delta) a 19year old a330 300 was making its way down to singapore as cx659


Check in for the cathay pacific flight uses row 7 at terminal 4 which is the exact same terminal as i took korean air to and from seoul early this year with B777 300 ER and B747 8i we did manage to complete the online checkin at the cathay pacific website the day before departure and simply head to the airport 2 hours before departure we did drop our suitcase at the self checkin machine before heading to the departures area immigration and security took about 5 mins depite a morning flight and most people are eligible for the passportless immigration clearance which uses only facial recognition we then proceed to gate G18 where we board our A330 300 bound for hongkong

Along the way to the gate spotted jetstar asia A320 is taxing to the runway as it the last time seeing jetstar asia before ceasing operations in july 2025

Spotted korean air A330 300 HL7587 heading to seoul incheon as ke 648 and push back earlier than our a330 300 to hongkong

Boarding was called by zone and we queue to board the aircraft upon reaching my seat 52K there headset and magazine right infront the inflight entertainment has good selection of movies ,tv shows and music despite cathay pacific won the skytrax award for best inflight entertainment



There is also an interactive flight map which unfortunatly not working on this flight.

I decided to watch my first movie paddington in peru while waiting for pushback

The cathay pacific safety video was played after the cabin door is closed and push back before taxing to runway 20C of changi airport.

We line up for takeoff right after the safety video played and heading north towards hongkong

Shortly after takeoff the seatbelt sign was turn off and did enjoy the movie while waiting for the meal service to begin there wifi onboard unfortunatly it not working on this flight

Water was given shortly after takeoff while enjoying the movie.

breakfast was served half an hour after takeoff there are two choices one is the scrambled eggs or seafood congee and i tried the seafood congee which is quite good it also came with metal cutleries bread with jam ,yogurt and fruit bowls and enjoy the meal with the orange juice also

While enjoying the breakfast service i also watch another movie dog man for the rest of the flight before landing in hongkong

We started our decent into hongkong right after the dogman movie and caught a nice view of shenzhen which will be crossing into later via lowu border crossing after landing



We touch down in hongkong 19 minutes early and taxi past the midfield concourse before reaching our gate near to the arrival hall

We park right next to the B777 300 er and disembark from the a330 300 at the front

To get to shenzhen from hongkong international airport we got to clear immigration and collect our suitcase at the baggage claim however the immigration clearance took about 15 minutes due to long lines however it was fast moving as most of my trip to hongkong we then collect our baggage at baggage claim 5 before walking to the airport express counter to purchase the octopus card near the walkway to the bus interchange at the ground transportation center. the octopus card a public transport card allow to take many public transport around hongkong such as the bus,tram,MTR train especially airport bus

There are many bus operated by LWB and cityflyer to get to hongkong city ,kowloon and other parts of hongkong as i will be heading to sheng shui on the north side of hongkong i got to take LWB A43 for 5 stops till the mtr station

LWB A43P also goes to shengshui but departed later than my A43 it took about 15 minutes for the bus to come and enjoy the sceenery along the way


The bus ride took about 50 minutes which pass by tsing ma bridge and towns in hongkong Upon arrival in shengshui i have lunch at tai heng before catching the MTR east rail line to lowu border crossing and clear immigration to leave hongkong which i can use the Egates and enter china using the manual lane and did manage to complete the arrival card the day before my flight instead of filing up the arrival card at the arrival card desk and the border crossing took about 15 minutes on both sides from there i continue my way to my hotel within luohu district this is the good trip report and i defintely would take cathay pacific a330 300 again even trying out the A350 900 product on a flight between singapore and hongkong see you next time on phee planes bye.
