Tibet Airlines is - as far as I know - the only airline which uses 3 different writing systems/languages on its flights: standard Chinese, English and Tibetan. Voice announcements are made in Chinese and English. Safety announcements are made and displayed in the three languages. It makes this airline a very special one.
Today, I was flying Tibet Airlines' working horse: the classic A319.
My travel partner had an access to the Shuangliu lounge; this loung is shared by many bank and companies: it features private rooms & canteen room, where drinks, snacks and meals are served, while one can lazily see the T2 movements and some take-offs. The security check-in is done in the main hall & a bus takes you to your plane.
The flight itself isn't very special (and rather short), when it comes to the service: the crew quickly serves bottled water, some biscuits and dry tofu. The cabin doesn't feel to crowded and the seats were comfortable.
What makes the flight special are … the views, and they are … amazing! One is given the chance to see some of Sichuan highest mountain: Mount Sigunianshan and Mount Xuebaoding. The weather was right and we could see both of these amazing summits. As well as some other lower peaks, towering between 4000 and 5000 meters.
The flight landed in time in Xining. We were granted with lovely city-view as we landed from the west. After having landed, disembarking* went fast & the delivery of the luggage was easy, efficient and quick. The airport welcomed us with fine pictures of what tourists can expect to see in Qinghai!

*It is interesting to mention that this flight & this aircraft continue to Golmud/Ge'ermu, the second biggest city in Qinghai & the door to Kekexili / Hoh Xil Nature Reserve in Qinghai, where one can see the rare Tibetan Antilopes as well as numerous other wild animals. All passengers had to disembark the aircraft and would later embark again.
