Conclusion

Transatlantic flight with KLM, huge KLM lounge with very nice shower facilities.
B777 with comfortable Jamco full-flat seats and a pleasant cabin.
Full meal that was overall very good, I especially enjoyed the red curry Thai soup.
The gift of the little porcelain house was a great touch.

I haven't been to the KLM lounge in AMS since it was renovated a few years ago and it looks great. The tarmac views are also very nice. The reverse herringbone seats are a big improvement over the previous Collins Diamond Parallel seats, and a revolutionary change over the old angled seats they had even before that, which wasn't all that long ago. Lots of improvements over the past decade!
