My wide-body ride down to GVA this evening is on this Airbus A350-941 (ET-AYN).

I was seated in 2A, a Cloud 9 business class seat closest to the window. The seat behind and in front face towards the aisle.

It was a full service flight so I received a complimentary bottle of Gold still water and this wonderful red leather Ethiopian branded amenity kit.

Pre-departure drinks consisted of either orange juice or a glass of champagne. Of course, I indulged!

Then, 20 minutes in, dinner was served. I received a charcoal beef skewer with salad. This had cornichons and Red Leicester cheese. The salad was a Russian style potato salad and dessert was a red berry cheesecake. All were superbly delicious! Crackers and cheese also arrived and although not pictured, I opted for a glass of passionfruit juice - this was amazing!

Conclusion

Today, I'm flying Ethiopian Airlines from Manchester (MAN) to Geneva (GVA) aboard their fifth freedom route—a unique short-haul leg operated by a long-haul aircraft. In this video, I’ll be reviewing the full Cloud 9 Business Class experience onboard the Airbus A350, including seat comfort, service, dining, and what it’s like flying lie-flat on a quick European hop.

  • Hello, and welcome to the site.

However, please slow down a bit with your posts, out of respect for the other contributors.

By publishing all your reports at once, you push other FlightReports out of visibility, which can be frustrating for many of us.

    Have a nice day!

    • I agree with that.

      • Kiai, Ryan,

Thanks for the welcome, I think — and for keeping me in check!

I completely understand the point, and rest assured I’m not trying to take over the front page like it’s a runway slot at Heathrow. I’ll ease off the throttle a bit and stagger my posts going forward. I didn't see anything in the rules about posting limits, hence just publishing all my reviews now on my day off.

Anyway, appreciate the heads-up and looking forward to sharing more with the community (albeit one a day!).

        Have a lovely weekend!

        James
