Intro
Hello and welcome to new adventure, and another flight that brings excitement and joy of discovering new places!
This time we are flying from Belgrade to Palermo, from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport ( BEG ) to Palermo Falcone Borsellino Airport ( PMO ). We will be flying with Wizz Air and amazing Airbus A321 neo.
Let's get started!
BEG - Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is the largest and busiest airport in Serbia, serving millions of passengers every year. Many airlines operate from the airport, including Wizz Air, which has one of its bases in Belgrade and connects the city with many destinations across Europe. The airports easy to reach from the city center by bus, taxi, or car in about 20 to 30 minutes. It is also well connected to other cities in Serbia by major roads and highways.
You can get there by taxi, bus and one of the most common ways is by car( someone to get you there or you can use some of great private parking lots(car lots ) near by the airport that you will pay few euros per day and you don't need to worry about what will be with your car because everything is under 24/7 camera controlling.
After arriving at for example Terminal 1( most of low cost counters and agencies are there ), the first step is to check in if you have not already done it online, If you have checked baggage, you can drop it off at the check-in counter.
After the check-in counters, passengers proceed through passport control (for international flights), then security screening and finally to the departure gate if you want to go directly there without exploring the airport.
Finally, after all security steps you will get in duty free area and have a chance to get fantastic views to other airplanes and from some points you can look at runways and departure / arrival airplanes, you will have a chance for fantastic view from every hall and every part of the airport definitely because Belgrade Nikola Tesla airport is not that small and you will have how to spend your time in duty free area, coffee shops, rest area, etc.
Flight BEG-PMO
This time we're flying on the Airbus A321neo, and I'm really glad to be back on this aircraft. It's one of my favorite Airbus models thanks to its comfortable cabin, generous legroom, and overall passenger experience.
The flight itself was smooth and enjoyable, and the cabin crew were friendly and welcoming throughout the journey. If you get hungry or want a drink, there's a good selection of food and beverages available to purchase at reasonable prices.
The legroom is definitely one of the highlights. At 1.9 meters (6'3"), I still had plenty of space to sit comfortably, which isn't always the case on narrow-body aircraft. There's also an in-flight magazine to browse, making it easy to relax and enjoy the rest of the flight.
PMO - Falcone-Borsellino Airport - Palermo, Sicily
The landing was absolutely beautiful. Not only did the pilots deliver a smooth and gentle touchdown, but the views on approach were simply unforgettable.
As you arrive, you're treated to stunning scenery where the sea meets the surrounding hills, creating one of the most memorable approaches and landings you'll experience.
The only downside after landing was the long queue at passport control. Separate lanes are used for European Union passport holders and for travelers from other countries, which can result in longer waiting times depending on your nationality.
After waiting for almost an hour and a half, it was finally time to leave the airport and start exploring this beautiful city and island, both of which have so much to offer.
