Welcome to another trip report this time from BLQ to FRA with LH in an A320-200SL. Check in was done online the night before so only bag drop was required. There was a very short queue and so our baggage was gone.
Landside at BLQ
We proceeded through security and were airside very quickly. It was already time for boarding by the time we reached the gate. We were then bussed to the aircraft and boarded almost immediately. It is also noted that there was a very light load so there was quite a bit of space.
Boarding the A320-200SL
Good selection of newspapers
Intra-European business class
Seat pocket contents
Other airlines at BLQ
After a quick taxi to the runway we were off.
before take off
After takeoff this was distributed. Lunch.
Seriously, LH. A sweet waffle and a cup of orange juice for lunch. Id rather have the salty and sweet stuff from my Air Dolomti flight. Lufthansa might as well start a Buy on Board service offering a bit more food. Simply disappointed.
The waffle in more detail
At least the taste was O.K.
Some nice views. Not as nice as my next leg though.
Starting descent into Fraport
Just after landing on 25L: AN MD11!!!!!
Crossing runway 25RL
After parking on one of the A stands, and the engine shut down, the PTU went absolutely crazy. I will upload a video of it. After being bussed to the terminal, it was time to connect from the A gates to the B gates. More on that in the next report which will take place on another A320-200SL from FRA-LHR.
Bologna - BLQ
Frankfurt - FRA
The crew was attentive and friendly, the load was light and... that's about it. But Lufthansa:Never EVER hand out a sweet waffle and call it lunch! I would much prefer a bag of nuts or pretzels.
