I was getting tired of the constant calm and sunny weather, i hadn't filmed any interesting windy landings at manchester airport for quite a long time. So a week before the flight i thought forget it, i'll book a flight and do an ATC video.
I get the bus which takes 50 mins to the airport.

Arriving at the train station area i go through the walkway to T3, it seems really bad now because you have to go in a slow lift down and then you have to go out of the building and inbetween another building and around a long corner to get back inside to get to Terminal 3.

There was quite a big crowd at the check-in areas as ryanair and easy jet go from there.
I got 1 of my boarding passes, the machine printer broke on the 2nd pass (return flight) so i ask the ba man and tell him it's still stuck and what happens if someone gets it later (well in part 2 you'll see that on my return flight something strange happens which even shocks the woman scanning my boarding pass, so subscribe to my youtube to find that out first next week)

Security was quick as that crowd weren't there yet and was through in 5 mins and into the noisy departure cattle holding pen.

The flight arrived late and departed a bit late because i guess of the APU inop which you'll hear in the video of the crossbleed engine start.
The cabin crew were 20-30 years old and were quite warm.

I was suprised that they don't do the paninni but you are given tiny short bread cookies or crisps instead.

A very speedy taxi into the gate where we had to wait for the turnaround manager to turn up
Great report on one of our shorter routes - have you tried Little Red from Manchester?
Hi thanks, Yes I tried the virgin, i've got a full flight on that on my youtube. I think i would have preferred them but with a weeks short notice it was better to go BA with the prices although normally virgin is better priced sometimes the timing isn't as good. I do like virgins walkers cookies. BA used to be good with giving you a panini, maybe the saturday crowd get less.
