Awesome report with beautiful pics and a lot of good detail! Emirates certainly has a compelling Y product on A380s (less so on 777s with tight 3-4-3 configuration) You had a great seat to be at the exit row. Yes, there are some downsides like the light from the galley and people that tend to stand around near your seat because there's more room, but you can wear an eye mask and noise-cancelling headphones and ignore all that. The essetial thing is the great legroom and comfortable seats. Great pitctures of Mauritius; makes me want to go! Thanks very much for sharing!

The lights and noise that you experience at your seat definitely will be a nuisance if you do not have or forgot to bring onboard an eye mask and noise-cancelling headphones, like what KevinDC said. And this would make your flight much less comfortable... =X
