Hello English readers
I post this Flight report because it's the first BRU-HAM in the database and also I have had the opportunity to visit the LOFT:
the new flagship lounge of Brussels Airlines at pier A which opened its doors on 23/10/14.
I took advantage of this trip to visit Hamburg and also the Airbus'plant of Findenwerker.
Report:
Arrival to the carpark of Zaventem after 1 h 35, drive from my home
Departures hall

We booked Check&Go tickets so only cabine baggage with us
It's a long way to Terminal A with the works for connector

When entering the Lounge you find on your right the press selection and lockers


and you can borrow your Microsoft surface tablet will connect you to all sorts of digital experiences.
In the hearth of the lounge is a large food buffet with international and belgian food



and next to the buffet on the left a selection of the best belgian beers and softs



on the right a space to relax with item of Tintin universe


with the option to use giant touch screen

The zone bathroom with a selector for LED lights and music

Business center and meeting room with the latest technology and a fantastic view on the tarmac

I do now leave the lounge:my flight is on time

Thanks for the extensive coverage of the new Brussels Airlines lounge. It seems pretty nice overall. Brussels Airlines seems like a paradox to be...it's part low-cost carrier, part full-service legacy carrier...it's confusing. Then again, it must be copying the business model of US carriers. B.O.B for short flights, but full service with flat beds in business on long-haul. Must be the wave of the future.

The lounge looks inviting and the Belgian touches make it very distinctive. However, the efforts put into improving this lounge experience is a stark contrast to the low cost perception of the inflight product, particularly its short and medium haul ones. When you strive to be the best, you should do it all the way.
