SIN is very well connected to the city via the MRT and the transfer only costs SGD 3. - (2.50€). I was staying in a suite at the Marriott and they offer free transfers to and from the airport to their Platinum members staying in suites. I won't decline this offer ^^
Check in is performed within a few seconds, very efficient and friendly agent. Same for the police formalities. I was airside in no longer than 5 minutes.
Security is only performed at the gate some views from Terminal 1 were all AF and KL flights do leave. There are lots of flowers but it did not impress me more. After all I have read from Changi I was expecting more. Must not be in this Terminal ;)
The bright lights inside the terminal did not help to do a mini spotting session:
The terminal was pretty empty late in the evening:
The arrival hall:
Heading to the lounge:
Some views of it:
The lounge is spread over two floors and is very quiet, and will stay so until my departure. What to say about it? It's nice, peaceful but nothing to write a home about.
There are things to eat, nothing exceptional though:
Nothing to say about the soft drinks, there are plenty of. But the hard section is just a shame, you can judge:
My selection. The satays were awful, dry, hard, and uneatable. Given how good the one downtown were, I can't and want compare.
The sandwich was ok, but Lord, it's a sandwich. The desserts were below average.
Close to the boarding time I proceed to my gate.
The beast:
Boarding starts as I finished my pictures, I board with the first passengers in order to get some cabin shoots before the plane fills:
It was like stepping aboard the MD11 when I saw the old seats. I thought that only the MD11 still had that kind of seats, I was wrong. That would be a big change compared to the full flat seats from Air France on the way down. But it is still better than flying coach ^^
Safety card:
Usual KLM amenity kit:
The fleet, without my favorite plane, the MD11 and the welcome Champagne (there was a choice between water, juice, bubbles or beer):

It was fresh and tasty. Just the amount of food that was needed. I really liked it. I took some sweet wine with it. As I finished my plate the steward did bring me the dessert straight after. That was another nice touch.
An infusion to finish the meal:
As I stood up to get my planejama (I claim the copyright for that word ^^), the purser comes through and thanks me for my loyalty. He was always available and to be seen in the J cabin. He'"/>
For the breakfast I took the eggs, which were good. The fruits, cheese and pastries were nice, I did not touch the yogurt.
Landing on time, two minutes before the STA.
As a bonus, here the Singapore Marriott:

Singapore was clean, lots of things to see, but will not stay as one of my favorite city.
Dedicated to my friend, Marathon, another active English publisher:
To conclude, a big thank you to Francis (Icare), Fabrice (OFFCM), William and his wife (AirCanada881), François and his wife (Marathon) for this FR Meet up. We had a really great time together.

It's good that you slept well on this flight because it is really hard to sleep in those seats. I actually like the lounge in SIN, but that's because I'm used to US lounges that have no real food--the only complaint I have about the Sky view lounge is the noise level with noise coming up from the airport since it's open.
