That FR starts at the EuroAirport, with something I really hated. As I am waiting to clear security, two agents from Securitas (they are in charge of security at the EAP) skip the queue and say hi to colleagues. One of them says loudly: Tomorrow I got an appointment at the SPA, my boyfriend paid for it. I have to have my pussy waxed. Her colleague’s answers in laughing: You can make a pony tail with your pussy's hair instead.
I am the first to laugh at jokes, but this was really not the place to make such kind of comments. In a public area, while working and in front of passengers. I could have said something but I decided not to.
Instead I went to spot this ERJ 170 replacing HOP's infamous ATR72 on the CDG run. On the ORY run they are going to be replaced by CRK. But ATR42 are to stay on the LYS flights:
Air Arabia bound to Casa:
Quick lounge visit to see the lunch offer, very well:
And some more spotting from the terrace:
My Embraer's landing:
Departures of the day:
My selection:
On time boarding, no advertisement on jet bridges here:
Courteous welcome, and the well know Embraer cabin:
Early push back, we are only 32 pax (4 in J), almost nothing. Some pictures while pushing-back:
A soon to be collector picture when LX will have left EAP for good by end of May, with dismissing its whole line maintenance staff:
EZS is the boss here:
Usual cargo stuff, DHL A300-600R, Swift 737, FedEx 757:
Take off on RWY 33, Northbound today, and meaning less flight time:
Nice views over the Alpes, the Vosges and Gerardmer and its lake:
No menus today, the purser tells us the choice in person. We have the choice between a beef wrap and a whole wheat cheese sandwich. Beef for me please:
The box, as usual, no change here. The wrap is really good, fresh and tasty. The salad has some olives and feta cheese to go with. It was good, but you can't usually go wrong with a simple salad. The dessert was a lemon custard, really good. It was a good light lunch.
Apple juice to go with, and coffee to round it off:
After a short 50 minutes cruise, we begin our descent:
Fokker and Embraer almost everywhere:
We park in front of the B gates today, meaning no bus transport, that's good, I don't like it :)
AMS is almost deserted today, meaning only two border inspection gates open. That means a 30 minutes wait as there are no dedicated EU controls. A very long wait that will impact the airport's rating!
To conclude a mini bonus of two departing Airbus from EAP (WIZZ and an A320 and the French Republic's A310)
Awesome FR and pictures. Thanks for sharing :)
Please tell me you paraphrased that conversation. If that was an actually verbatim audible conversation by airport employees.... I fear for the future of society.
Great photography as always Esteban, really liked the spotting of the French Republic's A310. The hot dishes in the lounge didn't look so appetizing.
OMG...that is a very nasty not-safe-for-work conversation, LOL. How unprofessional. Ugh...now I have that nasty image in my head, eeew :-P
Well, at least it spiced up what is an otherwise normal flight experience on your usual EAP-AMS shuttle :-)
Hope you are having fun at the FR Meetup! I wish I could've gone, but we just bought a new house and are moving this weekend.
Are you sure they were not essex girls ahah
Really nice report with almost a door magic instant that bears yoit name yes yes at the end of the corridor!
32 pax it is almost a business jet!!
Nice shots of the french air force a310.
Thanks for sharing Stephan
What that maybe my first "Instant porte" ? Seems you found it mate :)
The girls conversation was a "great" moment in my aviation life. I overheard other crispy things but will not tell them here :)
