The final leg of the award ticket would be MUC-LIS. After arriving from YVR I had time to take a shower and even sleep a bit more into the Lufthansa Senator Lounge, being my access granted because of my Star Alliance Gold status. The lounge was crowded all the time, so, 1h15 before the departure to Lisbon I went out and could find a better small lounge called Senator Café just in front of the main lounge. This lounge, only available for Star Alliance Gold holders, is small but has nice and different food, such as different kinds of natural juices and small sweets, pudding style.
The departure time was at 19h00 and 35 min before I went to gate for immediate boarding into the A321-100 D-AIRD, a 21 year old plane, delivered to Lufthansa in 1994. The flight was fully booked in both C and Y class and drinks were offered on the ground. The departure of this LH1792 was slight delayed, take-off time was at 19h20 for a 2h35 estimated flight time.
Shortly after departure the crew come along with the menu and hot towels. Then it was time to offer some drinks with pretzels, before the meal. The tray was set 50 min into the flight and, surprisingly, first it came only the starter, being the main course to be taken afterwards. So the starter consisted of smoked tuna, Asian glass noodle salad with red onion, miso sauce and seasonal salad with amaranth. It was well presented and tasty. Along and from a basked different types of bread were offered and again some more drinks.
Some time after it the tray with the main course showed up. There were 3 options for the main course. My choice as the lemon flavored chicken with jasmine rice and pea pods. It was very good! For dessert we had bergamotte crème brûlée, hazelnut whipped cream. A chocolate bar was also in the tray but I was full and could not eat or drink anymore.
At 20h55 the A321 landed at Lisbon Airport parking in a remote stand which is not usual with LH flights at LIS.
An excellent business class product on this longer intra-european flights.
