This flight was the start of my trip to New York for a quick holiday, The trip was booked with British Airways as we wanted to try the 747-400 with Rolls Royce engines. Also on the return we wanted to experience the 777 for the first time.
We arrived at Manchester T3 3 hours before the flight to relax spotting planes and shopping.
Then boarding was called about 30 minutes before take off, orderly queues followed. The queues moved quickly and we were onto the aircraft after only a 5 minute wait.
Although the A319 was built in the year 2000 the cabin looked good. Blue mood lighting, the new smart leather seats and nice clean carpet gave a good first impression of the flight.

We pushed back on time and taxied to the runway and made a smooth take off.
Very quickly after take off the cabin crew jumped into action serving a breakfast and drinks to everyone. The offering was a hot bacon sandwich or a cinnamon roll.
Some inflight pictures
Inflight the lighting changes to a sunrise orange.
Legroom was good on this short flight.
After cruising at altitude for only 10 minutes or less the descent started followed by incredible views of the city of London.
Landing at Heathrow
The Landing video
The taxing to the gate was quick with no delay, the engines shut down and we were off the aircraft quickly.
I really like that BA serves something real to eat on such short flights. Landing at LHR is always a treat when the weather is clear for those amazing view--great shots! Thanks for sharing!
