Hello everyone! I am new at this website and i wish to share my experience of having flight on different airlines with all of you on this superb website. I am a fifteen-year-old teenage from Hong Kong. I am an aviation lover and enjoy flying so much. This summer,I enjoyed my trip to US on ANA ALL NIPPON AIRWAYS (NH) with a short stopover in Tokyo. After the trip, i decided to make my little contribution to this website , so i start writing my first flight report ever.Since this is my first time , the flight report may not be very detailed and professional and sorry for the low-quality photo. Any comments are appreciated and hope all of you love and support my flight report.
Summary of my trip:
I decide to take ANA this time because i had wished to try this Japanese Five-Star airline for long time already. Moreover, i would like to have a short stopover in tokyo and do some shopping and dining. This time, we are taking NH810 frpm Hong Kong to Narita on July 16 and then make an about 20-hour stop in tokyo. On the next day, i took NH178 departing Narita in the evening and arriving at Seattle on the same morning. Later, i took a number of domestic flights to different cities ( San Francisco, Portland, Las Vegas) for tour. Our return trip begins on August 6 and arrive at HKG the next night.

Now, sit back and relax the report. No worry, you don't need to fasten your seatbelt!

ANA checkin counter in HKG is located at aisle E. The checkin agent is very friendly and with lots of smile. Within two minute, our whole checkin process has been finished and i soon got my two boarding passes, including the one for the leg NRT-SEA. The boarding passes are still warm when they arrive!
As usual, the efficiency of the immigration and security is high in HKG. In a couple minutes, i am already in the departure zone. There was still about half an hour till boarding, so i did some plane spotting. In my opion, HKG is really really a spotter-friendly airport because of its large glasses and clean window.

The interior of this 767 is quite old-fashioned. Although the seat does not look appealing, the cushion is thick and make the seat quite comfortable as there is enough support to your back. However, my only complaint is that AVOD screen is too small and the quality is low.
The taxi took quite long as plane take off from south runway which is far from gate 36 and the traffic is busy
We took off a bit behind of scheldue, but that was still acceptable. Bye HK!
Clear sky with a nice wing. Perfect match!
Although ANA does not provide personal menu to every passenger, they provide you a menu card before asking for your choice when they are still distributing meal several rows in front. This is denfinitely environmentally-friendly and reduce waste. Moreover, this can prevent the mistakes on communication as some Japanese FA do not speak flurent english.
As all of you know, ANA is very famous for its catering. For me, i choose the Japanese style one, called Grilled Chicken Teriyaki.
Side dish (the soba noodle is great)
Entree. The taste?…No doubt, it is great. I finished all of it.
After the meal, i went back to the galley to ask for a drink. Guess what i am asking for? That's KABOSU (ANA signature drink). I enjoyed the Kabosu so much and i would even want to ask for more. But no worry, i still have lots of chance on the next 3 legs on ANA.I also chatted with two of the FAs about their job and company. ANA FAs are very friendly and with beautiful smiles. At last, they even gave me some ANA postcards as gift.
We landed in Narita on time at 20:10 and it was definitely a smooth landing. But sorry that i did not take photos after landing in NRT as it is so dark outside and i did not get a professional camera.
The immigartion in Narita is really a disaster and terrible. There are flghts arriving from different cities in Mainland China at he same time, and one from New York. However, only five counters are opened and there were long queues. It took us more than one and a half hour to reach the baggage claim after landing.
Baggage claim no.B5 for our flight. But this is not my matter as my luggage is directly checked to Seattle.
Train Station in Narita T1
Skyliner train to Ueno station. It takes nearly an hour.
Finally, we arrived at Ueno at 23:00. Our 20-hour stopover in Tokyo begins.
Thanks for sharing this report with us and welcome to the site!
Interesting, didn’t know HKG was Air Japan service, but I guess it makes sense since it uses B767s. An older 767-300ER for this route, too bad you didn’t get a newer one with winglets! If you thought this was an “old-school” 767, check out the ones NH uses on domestic routes… Catering looks good (quantity and quality of sides), and it is almost creepy how similar the photo looks to the actual tray. Glad you got a friendly crew on this flight, can be hit or miss with NH.
The 767 with winglets usually only run on NH811/812 (provide it doesn't turnaround from/to NH839/840).
I haven't got a chance to take NH yet, but one thing I like about it is that you can check the menu on its website before travelling.
