Decided to make a trip to Cuba. Glad I did.
Not too keen to fly on AF or KLM as I've taken on these carriers before. So LX/WK was it.
WK is much superior than any major carriers in Europe. Dare say that it's even better than EK and QR.
Flight was delayed from 1130 departure to 1345 ue to latre arrival of this a/c
Boarded early before other passengers came in. It was 100% full
IFE is touch screen AVOD. Lots to watch and listen. Not as many than ICE, but is more than sufficient for long haul.

Two appetizers: Swiss ham and red bean cucumber salad.
2 choice of hot meal: pasta or veal meat loaf.
Raspberry cream
F/A offered a whole basket for pax to choose from 2 kinds of bread.
They offered twice during lunch. Very good!
The breads were outstanding too.
Mid light snack
Since it was a day flight, full drink service from the cart every hour after lunch.
Second meal before landing
Cold chicken and pasta salad.
Again bread basket with 2 bread variety offered twice.
Instead of LX chocolate before landing, LX offered almond cake and post card
Wonderful experience on WK.
Even on a very flight, crew were very polite, friendly and helpful.
WK food looks great! You mean they rolled out the drinks cart every hour to serve drinks?!! How were the crew?

The crew were very good. Interactive, friendly and helpful. They are a notch better than major European carriers and even the 3ME.
Yep, drink carts were rolled out. Anyways, all alcoholic drinks are for purchase. Hence, it's a chance to make sales.

I have impression this plane was pretty comfortable too. They seem to be better than LX.

Agree, WK seems to be better than LX.
WK has better IFE and more generous with their meals.
I flew on LX to ZRH before taking WK to HAV. LX needs to upgrade its long haul a/c.

Thank you for this interesting report SIN7. As others have mentioned the catering looks quite good for economy. Bread from a bread basket and frequent full drink service are nice premium touches for economy. I know it's hard to tell from the pictures but the seat pitch looked decent too. Thanks again for sharing and happy flying.

Yes, I was surprise by the bread basket service. When some airlines prepackage their bread on the tray leaving it cold and hard, WK serves 2 kinds of warm bread for pax to choose. I'm not that tall, so the pitch was good. I took the window seat, so was a bit restrictive. On my return trip, I was on the aisle seat, it was great!!

I wasn't expecting WK to serve HAV, is Cuba a popular tourist destination for the Swiss?
The cabins look good on WK, the pillow patterns are really interesting. Seat pitch looks good and the overall hard product looks very good for a leisure/charter carrier. The catering also looks very good, very nice offerings for a TATL since the second meal actually has a real main (even if it is served cold). Even a real glass on the first tray, which is a very nice touch for Y.
It's nice to know they exceed their parent LH :)
